"This is a lovely house in a decent spot in town. We were about 1/2 mile for downtown and could walk or drive easily. Morning viewed greeted us with sunrise over the lake. The place was clean and provided with everything you need. Check in easy and parking convenient. "

"Pros: Apartment was clean, location was very convenient to the downtown area and felt safe. Host was very responsive. Bid stack of clean towels in the bathroom. Cons: Air conditioning is only in the living room. Bedrooms just had fans. Old apartment that needs some repairs, large chips in the kitchen counter, ice trays all broken, etc. Bed linens were mismatched and cheap - several of the pillows were stinky and felt like they came from the dollar store. "I travel a lot and have stayed in many VRBO's. This apartment was one of the best! It was also priced very well, so it was a great value. I am from Marquette, which is a very walkable town, so the location was perfect. Laura and Matthew were wonderful and always responded quickly. "We were up for the Ore to Shore mountain bike race and this was the perfect spot for two couples. Enough room for the four of us to hang out plus had all of the accommodations needed to cook a pre-race meal. Proximity is prime as it's walking distance to everything downtown. If we do the race again (or are ever just in the area...), we'll be back!"

"Dropped our daughter off to NMU for her sophomore year and stayed the weekend to hang out. Very clean and retro style was cool yet comfortable. Nice area outside to relax in the evening around the gas fireplace. Nice place to stay for 2 if your looking for something simple and inexpensive yet clean and cozy, close to some cool history of the area and not too far from Marquette. "

"Owners are good people and live at this home full time. The upstairs apartment is cozy. Their 2 pitbulls will sound the alarm whether at the door to the apartment from inside while you shower, use the back bedroom, or as you pull in the driveway, or when you go downstairs to get something from your vehicle..... Pen was built, but used once in awhile. Had to stop and wait in the driveway for owner to casually corral the corral the dogs before getting out of my vehicle my vehicle. "

"We had a great time! We went packed and ready for “glamming” trip and got just that! The property is beautiful including the creek that runs on the back side. Yes, we had to put water in the toilet tank because the pipes were frozen and yes we heated water on the stove for washing dishes but this place was just perfect despite those things.
