It was great being just a few miles from the wedding location. It's nice, quiet, and relaxing on the front porch, and the place is very well managed. The place is clean and neat, and I will use it again.

We had a very nice stay. There is a lot of character with this little cabin. The owner is very helpful. We were very close to anything we were doing and the best part we were close to family we were visiting in the area.

We really enjoyed the mid 1800's style cabin with modern amenities. We even got to see deer. It's was quiet and the morning view from the front porch was wonderful. I highly recommend it.

Extremely easy to communicate with Joy, I loved this little cabin and the homey feel it gives! Clean and loved the rustic style! Just right outside of town so you have peaceful evenings out on the porch. Everything was great and will definitely be back!!

We stayed at Joy’s Cabin for several days during our trip back from Arizona to Pennsylvania. A beautiful quiet location in the country yet near to San Antonio and Gruene where we wanted to spend some time. Joy and Sherman were great hosts.

Very adorable place. Had everything we needed except the food. Peaceful area and the stars at night were absolutely amazing! It was about a 20 min drive to go tube the guatalupe river but no big deal at all really.

It was the perfect size for our family. Our youngest son graduated from Texas State n it wasn't very far from Texas State. Its about a 20 minute drive with lots of traffic.

This was a great cabin get away for the weekend. We enjoyed the tranquil front yard with a bench swing. It was close to activities and restaurants. The only thing we didn't enjoy was some of the critters that come along with the territory. 😊

We didn't stay in this property because the heater was not working. Owner has another home (the Bunkhouse) up the hill where we stayed. Location is about 20 minutes to New Braunfels, Gruene and San Marcos.

Our weekend was very nitheirce. Six senior citizen ladies went to celebrate a 70th birthday and Christmas. We brought all our food and drinks. Plus lots of games for our entertainment. Which worked great for us because we didn't leave the house. The house is off a country road fenced in a small pasture. There is nothing there besides another house. So bring everything with you unless you plan to go into town. It was perfect for us old ladies.and Christmas

We were in town for work in the New Braunfels area for 11 days. Long days with lots of physical labor and lots of people around at work. But then, quiet relaxing on a front porch with an east view, a few cows in the distance and fresh air. The house was the right size for rehearsing and warming up for the shows, as well as comfy for 4 people to sleep, eat and visit. We will be back!

This is my second year to rent the Cabin from Joy. She makes everything very easy as far as checking in. The cabin was very clean apron arrival, but soon after had spiders and other insect inside. We weren’t too worried about this as we realize we are in the middle of no where, bugs are going to happen. This is a great rental if you don’t plan on spending a bunch on time indoors when traveling. If we were ever looming for something other than just a place to sleep, this would not be the rental we chose.

The cabin, beautifully restored and expanded by Sherman and tastefully decorated with antiques by Joy was fun and comfotable to stay in. Nice view of the farm pond and fields from the porch. Several state parks, downtown San Antonio and Austin all within an hour's drive. Lots of interesting things to see and do in the area.
