"Communal bathroom door doesn’t close (got walked in on while using toilet), faucet handle fell off, mildew in air conditioner, ants crawling on me in bed, tv didn’t work, wasn’t offered a key to bedroom door and guy couldn’t find one for 10 minutes. Kept trying random keys in his pocket. Called “hotel” to complain and was told to call Expedia because hotel couldn’t do anything. Expedia said to call hotel because they couldn’t do anything. "

DoubleTree by Hilton Newark Penn Station
10/10 Excellent
"The location was excellent especially after attending Jin’s concert at Prudential center. The room, bathroom was spacious. It took a long time for the shuttle to arrived to the airport. I don’t why there’s no microwave in the room.☹️ They were able to refund the security deposit the day of our checkout. Something that I like since you can actually see that it was refunded. While the other hotels charged you then it after few days you can’t see the charged. I just want transparency. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.💜"
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Newark Liberty International
10/10 Excellent
"The room was large and set up well for working online, and there were several convenient lunch options (pre-made salad and soups) to buy downstairs when I didn't have time to go out. There was also a mini fridge and microwave in the room, which was very helpful. It was also near the Prudential Center and straight forward to get there. "
