Room was a lot bigger than expected, we stayed in the little annexe family room and it was wonderful. Clean and spacious, perfect for what we needed. Tea and coffee in the room, hair dryer, and plenty of towels. Helpful staff on check in, thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely clean room with a great sea view! The shower cubicle was very small (my OH is quite a big chap so it was a squeeze, but he managed)! Really comfortable bed; had the best sleep in ages! Great food and service. The hotel is quite central so a great base for exploring the coastal walks. Would definitely recommend.

Room was superb, we were upgraded to room 7 which was really a suite, with large windows overlooking Cardigan Bay. Two cocktails for £10 was fantastic start to stay. Disabled parking (and normal parking) on road directly outside. Restrictions apply but not after 30/09.The real bonus for this hotel was the service and friendliness of every member of staff.

Lovely staff. The sunday roast was one of the best I've had from a restaurant ( & plenty of it ). The sea view was incredible, we actually saw dolphins from our room. There was ample tea/coffee & milk, a large tv but the beds were absolutely incredible, they were so comfortable as was the linen. If I was to stay again in New Quay I would 💯 stay at the Penwig hotel again xx

Car park within walking distance to hotel, room lovely and clean, fabulous sea views from the room and resturant, seating inside and out. Resturant does get very busy. Breakfast quite nice. Very friendly staff. Only down side when sitting outside dogs kept barking and owners seemed oblivious, which did spoil the peace.

We enjoyed staying here. There were a couple of things that let it down, for example the handle to the door was broken and kept coming loose when pulled, and when we first arrived to check in it felt like we were waiting a long time as the bar customers were being prioritised over hotel guests (we saw people who arrived after us served before us). That being said, we had a sea view room which was lovely and really enjoyed the proximity to the harbour. There is no parking on site but the Rock Street car park just around the corner was good value for 24hrs and only a stone’s throw from the accommodation so not too bad for carrying our bags. Breakfast the next morning was really nice and the check out process was easy. We would consider returning if in the area again, especially if the maintenance issues were looked at e.g. broken door handle

Lack of parking, had to park on 24hr parking but the problem there was if you went out in your car when you came back to park up there were no spaces left had to park 20min. walk away.
