Excellent stay overall, dining in the bistro on the night we arrived, the menu was well priced with good quality options available. Our room was clean and tidy and stocked with the usual convenience items. Would definitely recommend the Hotel.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfy. A good location, lots of places to eat nearby. It’s not far from the metro centre and Newcastle city centre.

Lovely gem just 10 minutes by taxi into Newcastle. All the staff were friendly and helpful from the receptionist to the dining room staff, especially Ann and John who made breakfast a unique experience. We will definitely consider staying there again in the future.

There was alot of noise from other guests, slamming doors and talking loudly into the early hours of the morning. Also the room was very warm, so had to keep the window open, outside was also very loud. In terms of cleaniness, when I shut the curtains, a residue was left on my fingers and I had to wash my hands.

Short stopover.

Nice hotel, lovely staff and comfortable rooms. Excellent food in the Lounge bar. Fish and chips was amazing! Only gripe was there was an irritating whirring noise all night from an air con or fan unit somewhere.

The premium room was large, warm & comfortable, a significant improvement over the standard room in which I have stayed in the past. Unfortunately, the soundproofing from the road roar outside & noise from adjoining rooms was poor, leading to my being awoken by “rutting bison” in the early hours.

Refurbishment required

The receptionist was not welcoming or freindly when we checked in and out. This was about my 6th stay as my son lives in the area. The hotel is looking very tired and tatty. Breakfast was ok. The hotel is very clean.
