「The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation.」

「No wifi and cell service is very spotty as one would expect. Not a criticism, just an observation. There are a good deal of steps to deal with so beware if you have mobility issues. The lake itself is a walk away, no direct views from the house. The rear deck needs some TLC.」

「Very nice cozy cabin, close to AT and trails, 30 minutes to Roanoke. Nicely appointed with kitchen items, seating etc. Driveway is steep and gravel with some concrete for traction at sharp turn and ok after a trip up and down but more of a challenge in the dark. Secluded and quiet and a great place to relax. Bring binoculars if you’re into birds, saw scarlet tanagers, ovenbirds, pileated woodpeckers +」

Close access to to the Whitehorne Boat Ramp for those the need a ramp as well as the scenic McCoys Falls right up Rt 625. 「The house is lovely with direct views of the water. The owners have obviously put in alot of time making it comfortable. We cooked and the kitchen had pots/pans enought to make meals. It is small, just the right size for a couple, but the bed was comfortable, and everything was clean and well-decorated.
