The Farmhouse has been at the heart of Goonwinnow since the early 1800's. Originally just a two up, two down rustic stone building, the handsome farmhouse has been lovingly extended over the years in various stages. It now includes a beautiful hand made kitchen complete with electric Aga with gas hob, American style fridge freezer, airfryer and large island perfect for gathering around.
A bright and airy conservatory leads out onto the garden with far reaching views across the valley. An undercover BBQ gazebo to the side of the house has an outdoor dining table and festoon lighting for al fresco entertaining.
The dining room, which was previously the farm's kitchen still has the original oven range - no longer working but providing nostalgic décor. An adjoining spacious living room complete with inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove has ample seating for lounging or TV.
Upstairs there are four generous double bedrooms, two of which have ensuite shower rooms and the remaining two share a family bathroom. All bedrooms have ziplink beds, which can be prepared as superkings or twins, as preferred.
The Farmhouse has a well-stocked fitted kitchen, an electric AGA with two hot plates and two gas burners, a large airfyer, microwave, toaster, kettle, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, American sytle fridge/freezer with filtered water dispenser adn ice maker, Smart TV, barbecue, garden furniture and central heating. There is free WIFI available in all cottages, huge Egyptian cotton bath sheets, crisp white bed linen. There is an iron & ironing board and hair dryers. An undercover BBQ gazebo with festoon lighting is perfect for evening get togethers.
Smoking is not permitted within the cottages or games room. There is plentiful on-site parking.
Within the farm grounds are an enclosed dog walking paddock, communal rustic games room with table tennis table as well as an outdoor play area with swings and climbing frame. Guests are welcome to make use of these communal facilities.
Please note:
The Farmhouse is not particularly toddler friendly because of the Aga.
The Farmhouse DOES NOT have a hot tub.
Ample parking.
Up to three well behaved dogs are very welcome at a cost of £30 per dog per stay.
Need just a little extra space? Why not add on the gorgeous one bedroom studio suite ‘Annedh'. Perfect for grandparents or other extended family members who want to holiday with the rest of the family but would like a quiet sanctuary to retreat to at the end of a hectic day!
Your cottage will be ready for you from 4pm onwards and checkout is 10am.
