The Hoblet

  • The cottage is 600 sq ft of modern living. 5 sets of patio doors & 3 skylights. Open all year round, self catering & fully equipped. There is a separate bedroom (queen bed).  A 2 seater infrared sauna awaits you as well. The living room has a reclining sofa and a sofa bed.

    Great (private) outdoor space with swing set, forest and a fire pit. Private parking with a secret path over the bridge brings you to this magical get away. Read our reviews on TripAdvisor, VRBO!

Very cute place to stay, especially if you love animals. Host had very good communication when it came to any questions we had. Everything in the falls is only a short drive away too.

I absolutely loved The Hoblet! Dawn was very accommodating, the place was beautiful and so peaceful. The animals put a smile on my face as I lost my dog this past December. I would travel here again just to stay at The Hoblet. Highly recommend!

The cottage was so charming! I loved being greeted by the animals as we came onto the property. The fireplace inside made it nice and cozy. Just a tip, sometimes with rain it can get muddy so bring boots! Still would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone

Decent place to stay at and just off the grid from the main attraction which was Niagara Falls. It looks differently from the photos provided but its still a cute and cozy place to crash. The animals are cute and the smell that you would think would be there is not. It has the charm and if youre looking for a little change up from modern hotels and want something more in tune with camping/glamping, this is your spot. The host is very kind and got to me as soon as I messaged. No trouble and quick. They do not impede on your stay and try to do their own thing while you do yours. Appreciate the stay and would be interested in coming back again!

Our host was very responsive when we reached out. Very simple check-in and check-out process. Be prepared to get muddy if it is raining but the animals and property help you forget about that quickly. Such a great spot that I would recommend for a small family or couple.

Friendly Home Away from Home

We stayed at the Hoblet as a home base for some quiet, relaxing time away - a nice, humble home. The animals were a bonus - especially Norman who greeted us each time as we walked backed to the cabin.

A quaint little hideaway in the woods

Our stay at the Hoblet was very relaxing and allowed us to get away from the city and busyness of the world. The fireplace, sauna and overall decor made us feel very welcomed and encouraged us to relax and take time away from the internet and our devices in general. Spending time with the animals on site was one of our favourite parts!

Nice change of pace

We stayed here while visiting the falls. My girlfriend loves animals so I surprised her by booking this. She was very excited when we arrived to see them all. The little cottage we stayed at was lovely and had a nice outdoor area.

Lovely Animal Sanctuary

It is a lovely little place to stay with the main selling point being the animals. They are so friendly and we loved being around them! The Hoblet was clean and a little quirky which added to its charm. The host was extremely nice and easy to contact.

Quick get away

I came to the Niagara region to visit with a friend that lives in the area. It’s a perfect location away from all the busy city stuff. Getting to The Hoblet was easy and really feels like we were way out in the country, but just a short drive to the activities in the area. The animals are so great and are so fun to interact with. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. It truly is an enchanting place.

We arrived on a Friday and stayed until Sunday. Was very cute and quaint, all the animals around made me feel very much at home and I loved talking to them and petting each one of them. The Hoblet where we stayed was clean and comfortable, quiet, and private which was nice. Thank you!

Relaxing Getaway

We booked a three night stay that felt like we were away for one week. It was very relaxing to be surrounded by nature and many new outside friends :) The Hoblet offered us an opportunity to disengage from the busyness of life while providing all of the amenities necessary to feel right at home. We hope to book another visit.

Beautiful Escape into Nature

The cottage was cozy and clean. The pond out back was really pretty and the animals were very cute and friendly. The kitchen was good and the whole aesthetic fit perfectly. This was one of the most peaceful vacations my girlfriend and I have had. If you are looking to escape into nature, this is one of the best places to go, short of simply putting up a tent on Mount Washington.
