Would have liked to make use of the bath there, but with the persistent cough I’ve been trying to get shot of since before I even flew out to Japan, I wasn’t going to risk passing it on to anyone else."

"Beautiful peaceful ryokan with the full Japanese experience. We loved both of the bookable bathhouses- great after a chilly day in the Deer Park. The kaiseki dinner in your own private adjoining dining room was beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were all very lovely. Highly recommend. "

It was a tradition Japanese place, public baths that were spotless and cozy, got kimonos for our stay and inside house slippers, the meals were unique and intricate. "This is one of the best hotels in Nara I would say - perfect location (very close to JR but quiet), nice and helpful staff, free amenities and drip coffee - quality is good, hot spring is small but clean and neat, very clean room, inexpensive when the quality is so high!
I am so happy to have stayed here. Would definite come back when I visit Nara again."
