"It is university style dorms with an incredible view in an absolutely beautiful and peaceful location. There is a shared kitchen space that we had to ourselves so that was excellent and it is 15 minutes into Sligo. We had a wonderful stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of food and very good quality. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing, while still being conveniently close to Sligo. The apartments are spacious and ideal for large families, providing plenty of room and comfort for everyone. The only minor downside was the boiler, which was quite noisy when heating water. It was also difficult to maintain a consistent water temperature for bathing, and it seemed that the thermostat might not have been working properly. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again."

"The location couldn’t be better IF you get a room facing the water. Be sure to request. It’s a little more but worth it. We started in another room and overlooked the roof and heating/cooling. A bit dated decor but kept up. Plenty of parking. Restaurant on sight but food just ok. Friendly staff. May be a regular stopover for tours as one arrived while we were there."

All the canvas reproductions have it a rather fake appearance - one would get in Disneyland …… Time to commission - at least- some contemporary artists to bring a sense of authenticity & while also patronizing young Irish artists…"

Clayton Hotel & Leisure Club Sligo

"Beautiful large hotel with easy reach to Sligo town. It was previously a lockdown mental Institution but the clayton has turned it into a 4-star hotel with a restaurant and, spa and indoor pool. The only downside was that when we arrived in the room, the next room had young teenage kids playing football, and the noise was very off-putting as the ball smashed up against the wall. So we immediately went down to Reception and asked if we could be moved. The receptionist apologised and gave us another room, but when we got to it, it also had very young kids next door. We didn't go and complain as we knew they would eventually go to sleep, and they did, and we never heard from them again. The breakfast was good and warm, and the service was good. The staff were all very friendly"
