"Ich hatte ein Raucherzimmer...zumindest das einzige Zimmer ohne Nichtrauchersymbol an der Tür und so roch es auch... Die Matratze war eine einzige Katastrophe - es lage eine dünne Matratze auf dem Doppelbett und man kam sich vor, wie im Treibsand. Habe die dünne Matratze dann mitten in der Nacht runtergezerrt und da war dann ein riesen Fleck auf der Boxspringmatratze...super. Die Nacht hab ich jedenfalls so gut wie gar nicht geschlafen. "Kitchen facility is inadequate for the size of hostel and number of people wanting to use it. It is accessed through getting a key and is a small galley kitchen- suitable for one family/person to cook at a time but when I used it, 3 other groups also wanted to do so. It is not possible to pop in and get something into the fridge or cook and then do you dishes later (freeing it up for someone else to use it while you eat) as you have to pay a deposit to get the key. Freindly enough staff."

"Smartments Berlin Karlshorst is for those who travel on a budget. I travel a lot and prefer to stay in apartment hotels. I think this hotel is one of the best in this category. A minute walk to the public transport, 10-15 minutes ride to the city center. The hotel is clean, the staff is very helpful ( special thanks to Ms.Pilar), rooms are cozy and if you need extra supplies, there is a room for that on every floor. Yes, I recommend this hotel, and when again in Berlin will stay at Smartments Berlin Karlshorst. "
