Great place to stay

What a delightful place to stay. Located in a quiet court just a couple of minutes drive to the beach. The house is lovely, light-filled and homely. Plenty of comfy beds, great living spaces (the favourite furniture was the snuggle chair the kids fought over!), everything you could need is there. Great family room with fuseball table, toys and an amazing library of books. Great fully enclosed backyard which is kid and pet friendly with trampoline, sandpit and cubby. Lovely outdoor area for meals and relaxing. Outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. Probably our favourite thing was our host Kim and Scott!! Awesome communication, very personal service. They asked the age of our kids so they could make sure there were age appropriate toys, offered to arrange a portacot etc and left a lovely welcome basket on the table. Would definately recommend and would stay again.

Lovely Relaxed home from home well located

Had a great relaxed stay at Jack’s Shack. Loved the beautiful backyard, the outdoor shower to rinse off, all the things that kept the kids busy - swings, trampoline. Games, pool table. Plenty of space to spread out - books for everyone and we’ll located for everything. Set up to stay cool in the heat with fans in eavery room to help create a beautiful breeze through the home. Would love to return.

Relaxing break

Jack's Shack was the perfect place for a relaxing break. All the rooms were clean, bright and comfortably furnished with a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner on the deck area overlooking the garden and also watching TV and playing pool on the small pool table with our young adult son. We ran our dog on the dog beach and my husband fished along the Barwon River. Would have liked to stay longer!

A most relaxing and happy space

Dear Kim and Scott, We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at your lovely beach house. We enjoyed the different spaces both inside and out. Your home was beautifully presented, had everything we needed, and the piano was a special delight. We would love to return one day, as would our dogs who enjoyed your garden nearly as much as the beach. Sue and Greg.

Fantastic, relaxing family getaway in the perfect family friendly home.

From start to finish this was the perfect, relaxed, family getaway for myself, my husband, our four year old son and small dog. Communication with the property owner was very easy, check in was drama- free, the home was immaculately presented, and our son and dog played outside from morning til night, enjoying everything the yard had to offer, only stopping to play with all the toys, books and games in the games room. The house is located in a very quiet cul-de-sac so there was no noise from traffic, and the neighbours were very quiet. We had friends and family come to visit and/or stay during our holiday, and the space lent itself perfectly to having a few friends and kids all together - always able to see whatever the kids were doing and enjoying a lovely indoor/outdoor lifestyle while cooking/bbqing/eating and socialising. The outdoor chiminea was a lovely addition every evening - we’d light the fire, roast marshmallows and spend hours sitting around it enjoying a glass of wine while the kids jumped on the trampoline and ran around. The beds and bedrooms were very comfortable and gave us so much space to spread out. Our son couldn’t help himself and slept in a different bed every night. The renovation on the main bathroom and toilet is gorgeous and makes for a beautiful shower and bath experience. The full laundry was very handy and the kitchen has so much storage and they provided everything we could have needed to cook and clean up after ourselves. The gardens are full of beautiful plants and fruit trees and the back yard, with trampoline, sandpit and cubby house is a child’s dream. I loved throwing the ball to our dog in the mornings while I sipped my coffee and our son jumped on the trampoline. The house was about a 4 minute drive to a kid and dog friendly beach and everything we needed was no more than a 5 minute drive away. If you’re looking for a quiet family vacation where you can relax at the house all day without the kids getting bored, or even want to get out and about to the beach and beautiful surrounds everyday with only a short drive to all the local attractions, then I really recommend this place. It won’t disappoint.
