This is clearly a retaliatory review. Our home has been under professional pest control since the month we purchased it over 5 years ago. There are multiple OUTDOOR security cameras for the safety of our guests and our property. The cameras are disclosed in the listing and signage on our property indicates the use of security cameras. Melinda and her family were the only guests in over 5 years of hosting across 2 platforms that we have had to cancel a reservation and ask them to leave. There were multiple issues but they violated the house rules. They did not disclose pets as is clearly required in our house rules, nor did they pay the pet fee required by our cleaners. Our outdoor only security cameras alerted us to motion late in the evening (after 11pm) It was the family dog urinating on our back porch furniture and rug, scratching on the exterior door, trying to get inside and eventually pushing out one of the screens in the porch door. In addition to the pet damage, the children were seen on camera playing with the hot tub control panel, uncovering the hot tub, opening and leaving open the mini fridge/freezer and a variety of other unsafe activities with no parental supervision. As the family had 3 young children we opted to allow them to stay the night and not cancel their reservation until the following morning. When the hot tub technician came to service the hot tub he found crayons, toys and other items in the hot tub. The cleaners found snack wrappers, crumbled crackers and other food items scattered through the house. Our home was not a good fit for this guest's needs and in order to protect our home and the many amenities we offer our guests with the support of VRBO's representatives we cancelled the reservation and ask the guests to relocate. I would not recommend hosting this family.
