From the Host: This waterfront cottage has been recently renovated: everything is brand new, sparkling clean and ready to enjoy! It sits on a private pond without public access, making it great for fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and swimming. But it's not in the middle of nowhere: right around the corner is an excellent small grocery/coffee shop, an amazing Italian restaurant - and you're convenient to the entire shoreline! For a solo traveler, couple or small group, it's the ideal getaway in a peaceful setting by the water.

Idyllic WATERFRONT cottage, fully redone and ready to enjoy! A perfect home away from home, tucked away on a quiet side street in beautiful Old Lyme. Wake up to views of serene Black Hall Pond, along with a private dock for fishing, swimming, and kayaking.

You'll have Hains Park, Coffee's Country Market (a local favorite), and Sapore Pizzeria right around the corner! A great place to explore the surrounding area: nearby Flo Gris museum, Niantic, Mohegan Sun, hiking, and beaches. Also ideal for monthly furnished rental: excellent tourist and commuter location, close to Electric Boat, Coast Guard Academy, and I-95.

Sleeping setup is a larger bedroom with a queen and second bedroom with a bunk bed (queen on bottom, twin on). From the living room, you'll enjoy elevated views of the water and step out to a wraparound deck that's perfect for morning coffee. Central A/C, fast wifi, and an under-counter washer/dryer make your stay comfortable and seamless. There is a Keurig on the counter, pods inside the cabinet (both regular and decaf), and an electric tea kettle as well.

It gets no better than waking up to a beautiful setting beside the water! You'll feel "away from it all" yet convenient to necessities (market, coffee, etc.) and the many surrounding attractions.

If you like to cook, please read: this is our family cottage where we get together with our young kids, and you'll find lightweight dinnerware (not fine china), pots and pans, and standard cooking supplies. We are not big cooks and tend to enjoy the many great restaurants nearby. If you're planning on making something that requires specific chef's tools, you're welcome to bring them, or reach out and we'll point you to the nearest place you can find what you're looking for.
