Quiet, Peaceful Getaway by a Private Beach

Absolutely Idyllic Escape in a Quintessential New England Beach Town ~ This is a very special home. Nestled at the end of a dead end street, you have both privacy and incredible proximity to a member's only beach - a 1 minute walk! Home features 3 bedrooms, living area, full kitchen, and separate dining area- all on the 1st floor. Second story, up unique spiral staircase, features a loft space, retro bar, full bathroom w/ Jacuzzi, lounge area, and home office area. Excellent restaurants and shopping in town!

Whether you're coming to enjoy the beach, or planning a winter getaway, this home has it all at any time of year. All year-round, enjoy the charm and festivity of the surrounding town - plentiful eateries and a local winery! Excellent local shopping (outlets!) . Absolutely unrivaled neighborhood to take meandering walks or bike rides and discover the peaceful, quiet beauty of this New England beach town oasis.

Best Beach in CT!

Thank you for the lovely vacation! Some highlights: - Luxurious outdoor shower - my youngest said it was “exceptional: useful and comfortable” - Spotlessly clean and beautifully organized - Comfortable beds and pretty linens on full sized beds in all three bedrooms - Best beach I’ve been to in Connecticut: sandy sandy sandy with minimal rocks (we brought water shoes but didn’t need them), lovely huge sandbars make it fun to wade and swim out far, and explore far along the shore, friendly low surf, ospreys fishing, schools of fish swimming and jumping, whelks, periwinkles, hermit crabs - Thoughtful supplies, including soap, dish detergent, first aid kit, more - Easy & fast communication with owner - Pretty yard with sun shining through trees - There was an air conditioner but with cool sea breezes we didn’t need it (we were there in the last two weeks of August with more than a few days above 80 F) - Best collection of books I’ve seen at a cottage! - My son said the tv room upstairs was awesome - Short drives to Scott’s Farm Stand for great corn and tomatoes, Westbrook Cinema, outlets, more - Short walk to DQ and Lenny & Joe’s seafood - Beach supplies (camp chairs, beach towels) - Very short walk to the beach!

Amanda is Amazing!

Amanda's timely communication and flexibility turned some nice family time into an EXCELLENT experience at her sweet beach house! She was so accommodating, quick to respond and helpful about our stay. We used the outdoor shower after check-out (with her permission which she happily granted) to extend our time at the beach. This meant less of a rush in the morning and more time together which was important for our family. We cannot gush enough about how welcoming and helpful Amanda was. And the home is just as described - very comfortable and so close to the beach!

A wonderful getaway close to the beach

Upon booking the house, Amanda was very helpful with all questions and accommodations. The visit had two adults and 4 teens/preteens and we all had plenty of space. All the amenities were provided down to beach toys for the kids! We had to grocery shop and that was it. The house was immaculate and was better than the pictures showed! We had a quick walk to the beach and it was quiet and private which was very nice! Our visit was amazing and we had a wonderful time!

Beach bungalow bliss!

The house is super cute, clean, comfy and had everything we could have asked for, including good WiFi. Amanda was a fabulous host, very responsive. She made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and stress free. We started our days with coffee on the upstairs porch which has a partial view of the LI Sound, and ended the days, grilling in the backyard. The outdoor shower is fabulous. The association beach is a very short walk and has a wide sandy beach and a platform I did morning yoga on. Wish we could stay longer!

Great stay

We stayed almost four weeks at this property and loved every minute of it. It was in a great location and the house had everything we could possibly need. Amanda was a fabulous host and took care of any of our requests or questions. We can't wait to come back!
