Best bed and breakfast in Olympia!
We came here for our wedding night and had an exceptional time. The owners Nathan and Casey went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The hotel is a a late 19th Century masterpiece. Blending Victorian and craftsman style architecture perfectly. Absolutely will be staying here again in the future. Highly recommend booking through their website though instead of here because they have better rates direct!

Like staying with family, but better
Exceptional doesn’t even scratch the surface on how perfect of an experience this stay was. The property, building and rooms were breathtakingly gorgeous and charming. The inn-taker and family were so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and they were able to accommodate our food allergies. Our room was GORGEOUS. This Inn is truly a gem. I highly recommend staying. We will definitely be back ❤️

I wanted to take a moment to thank the proprietors of Swantown Inn (and let Expedia know how charming this place is!) I had a warm and social experience that felt like a breath of fresh air post-pandemic. My room was spacious and beautiful (it's a rambling old building, lots of history - a little worn down but in a charming way) but the standout experience was coming down for breakfast and meeting the owners and other guests. The food was delicious but the conversation was revelatory - most places to stay don't offer the same connection and communal experience. The proprietors had great recommendations for dinner and things to do in Olympia and Oregon, and I was able to easily walk from the location to the historic district, which has great record stores, book stores, and history if you're an indie rock nerd like me. If you're trying to get to the capitol building, the walk may be a little longer. Staying here and exploring Olympia was a highlight of my trip - thank you!

We are sorry you misunderstood our request for a check in time. We are flexible to a point but need to at least have an idea to make sure there is someone here to great you. Unfortunately Expedia does not ask you this or at least pass it on to us. We hope the rest of your trip goes well.

The inn is conveniently located on a quiet side street just minutes from the downtown area. The hosts were super—friendly and welcoming. Gave recommendations for where to have dinner, and local sights.

The inn is beautiful. It is Victorian but with WiFi and king size beds. Nathan and Casey are incredible hosts. They are helpful and pleasant and their breakfasts are awesome.

This property is a beautiful 19th Century house that has been renovated and turned into a B&B. The hosts, Nathan and Cassie, are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast, included in the price, consists of 3 courses: home-made scones (light and soft, not like the usual bakery ones), a homemade sorbet, and a warm component such as a breakfast souffle. You'd easily pay at least $20 for this at a local eatery. All in all, a great experience.

A True Bed and Breakfast
This was the true meaning of a bed and breakfast. From the time we walked in the door, Nathan the host was as friendly as could be. Our room was comfortable and clean. I would like to be able to open the window instead of using the A/C, but other than that, no complaints. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely come back if i were in the area.

This was our first B&B and it was amazing, the breakfast was a 5 star meal. Bedroom was comfortable the restroom is beautiful. However, the only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was having to leave our bedroom to use the restroom, even though it’s our private restroom it still threw us off. Other than that it was perfect

Glad you liked us! That is our only room that has a private bath across the hall. One day with more renovations of this historic home we intend to move it and make it attached. Note to future guests every other room has an attached bathroom.

Why thank you! As a historic mansion we do have some fairly unique rooms, very different from cookie cutter hotel rooms. Our neighborhood is fairly quiet too!

This is such a gorgeous old historic home. The outside looks great, but the inside is amazing. I felt like I was transported back in time. I could have spent half a day just looking at all the unique architecture, furnishings and trinkets. Nathan and Casey were great. The house was very quiet and breakfast was first class. I'll definitely keep them on my list for future trips to Olympia.

Downtown Olympia offers a range of typical small city services and attractions including a terrific farmers market on the waters of Puget Sound.

Thanks for the feedback. We would love to know which room you were in. We do not pretend to be perfect so if we missed something you should have told us when you were here. Like anyone we check in, we tell you to ask us if you need anything. As for the grounds, we get compliments on them daily at this time of year. Yes we have a gravel parking lot, that can be dusty. Yes we are cleaning up the trees we had taken down (actually polishing that off today). We sorry you were disappointed.

You showed up 15 minutes before checkout, demanding a room, only to find that all the rooms are still being flipped. we had already accommodated your date change with no charges or fees. Then your wife took the keys and you refused to return them. Yes you would have been better served staying at a generic hotel.

Found the history of the location impressive and the overall charm breath taking. Along with the staff, the food was amazing!!!!!! I would definitely stay there again. Its like stepping back in time when things were simplier.

Thank you! I think the one big thing is the lack of televisions in the bedrooms. Yes we have great wifi, but not having a huge screen suck you in can allow you to relax. (there is a big tv in the guest lounge, and the Puget Suite has a private lounge with tv, for those who really need it).
