Poor experience, decided to leave early
We booked this house for a long holiday weekend and were disappointed with the area and location. The house is near a lake but there’s no lakefront or really anything to do within walking distance. The neighborhood is very tightly packed and no privacy from the neighbors. The house is far from “sleek” and feels like a frat house. In window AC units were so noisy, it was impossible to sleep. There were not enough towels and it was clear that the place was not professionally cleaned. This was a let down especially because of all of the cleaning fees collected. The outdoor area is fenced in, but no comfortable way to enjoy it. Chairs were missing seat cushions and there was no table to sit at. The grill was completely out of propane and we had to run out and refill the tank. When I asked the host to reimburse us for the propane, he said only if the tank is full and I show a receipt. He was unresponsive and not helpful during our stay. We ended up leaving early and not staying for the entire time booked. When I brought these issues up to the host he was extremely rude and unprofessional, dismissing the concerns that we had. Due to our experience at this house and negative interactions with the host, I can not recommend staying at this place. This house may work if you are desperate for a place to stay in this area, but I don’t see why anybody would stay at this house for a getaway/vacation.
