"Excellent location in Sussex, edge of village but a lively pub with good food. Very good breakfast in the room cost. Very pleasant staff with a warm welcome"
"Amazing stay - we loved every detail & felt very blessed to have the time away together in such an incredible manor with super kind, friendly & helpful staff."
"It’s a picturesque old pub with an extensive garden area and a large parking space. It’s quite classy indoors and we were impressed by both the sophisticated dinner menu and the food itself - very good.We were welcomed warmly and shown to the Cowdray Room, which opens on to the beer garden. That wasn’t a problem as the pub closes at 10, and then it was an advantage as we were able to sit outside for breakfast with the place to ourselves. The pub will cook breakfast but not until 10.30 am, so there was a generous continental breakfast in the room for us - including fresh milk and juice, cereal and sticky buns etc. The only downsides were the atrocious WiFi and mobile signal, but that’s just a fact of geography; and the location at the intersection of two busy roads, which meant for a constant traffic noise in the outdoor area. It didn’t bother us in the room, though. Would gladly stay there again."
Stunning property with views of woodland and all that nature has to offer.
10/10 Excellent
