"Very private in a nice safe neighborhood with easy parking. The house was perfect for me and my daughter- comfy bed, great shower and all the basic appliances we wanted- fridge, microwave, toaster for my bagel and coffee/tea maker. We took advantage of everything that was offered- rode the house bikes to Mt Iron (3-4 miles away) and hiked the loop and rode back. "My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was truly incredible. So many amazing restaurants within a walkable distance, which we preferred since we didn’t have a car, and Whalers Village has a ton of great stores as well. Would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone and is extremely family friendly."

"★★☆☆☆ The room itself was clean, comfortable, and the ocean view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. Waking up and seeing the water every morning was easily the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for us. This resort is enormous and constantly crowded. There always seemed to be people everywhere, making it difficult to find any sense of peace or relaxation. The pools were packed throughout the day, and the beach area directly in front of the hotel was equally crowded. Food and drinks on property were grossly overpriced, even by Waikiki standards. We were also surprised that there was no outdoor music or atmosphere around the pool areas, and no swim-up bar or convenient way to order drinks while lounging in the pool. If you're seeking peace, quiet, and a relaxing Hawaiian getaway, I would recommend looking elsewhere."

Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows

"The location is excellent and having direct beach access is definitely a major plus. Unfortunately, the property itself is in need of significant improvements. Our room had a strong humid, musty odor that was very unpleasant. We had to sleep with the windows open because whenever the room was closed up, opening the door would bring back the heavy smell immediately. The walls and carpeting also appeared worn and unclean. While the location is wonderful, I don't think I would stay here again unless the property undergoes substantial renovations. That said, the staff deserves special recognition. Every team member we encountered was friendly, professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful. They provided outstanding service throughout our stay. I would gladly give the staff 5+ stars, even though the condition of the property fell far below expectations."
