"Mapakada Village is a beautiful hotel, tucked away from the regular tourist route - but it’s well worth heading here. It’s set against a stunning lake, where you can do various activities and wildlife spotting. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I’d especially recommend the superior double, which looks out to the lake and the pool.
We actually stayed at Mapakada Village a little by accident, during a storm - and we were so looked after, especially by Dinesh. He went above and beyond to help get us back to Negombo in time for our flight, actually driving us several hours himself, which was incredibly kind. Staying here for a couple of nights was exactly what we needed. Thanks so much!"
