Only one volleyballfield, which is not enough for the amount of guests. Music endend 11:30 pm and after that there was total silence in the bar. No more entertainment at all after that. Loungers at the beach cost extra money per day, because the hotel has none at the beach. Food was good and the pool was nice.

We stayed in Jan 2025 with the StarPrestige package. The room was just an average room. The ocean biew was nice, but the sun was very intense on the balcony for the first half of the day so it was hard to enjoy for too long. This resort has just one restaurant- the buffet. There is a limited menu of food at the bowling bar, but we found the food options very limited. At the Iberostar where we stay in Mexico, there are 5 restaurants to choose from, so having just the buffet for dinner was pretty disappointing. I’m confused about the reviews that rave about the food here. It’s lackluster at best. The place is clean - housekeeping did a great job and includes turndown service, which was nice. The StarPrestige pool area was quiet - almost too quiet. We didn’t hang out there much as we found it a bit boring. So if you’re into that, you’ll find it perfect. We used the bowling alley a couple of times. The bowling bar is an adorable little gem to bust the boredom of the resort as a whole with air hockey and billiards - even though the games cost money to play even with the Prestige package. We found it odd that there is only one bathroom in the entire resort? If there was more than 1, we couldn’t find it. If we had to go, we walked all the way to our room. Even the StarPrestige private lounge didn’t have toilets. Everyone was friendly enough, but when compared to other Iberostars we’ve stayed at, we were disappointed as a whole.

I booked this hotel based on the reviews I read and considering those and that it is supposedly rated 4 stars, I was disappointed... lets start with the bad: 1. Longer than necessary wait to check in 2. Expedia gold member - all they provided was a bottle of wine and I don't drink. 3. No stock in mini bar - everything must be paid and pre-ordered 4.No water in rooms - they have water stations around the hotel, but taste was not great and for safety I prefer sealed bottled water 5. No tea or coffee facilities in room 6. No Ironing facilities in room 7. No room service 8. Terribly uncomfortable beds and one of our beds was broken when we arrived and we had to wait an hour for someone to come and repair it 9. Terrible pillows and again a long wait to get more 10. The spare sofa bed for my 15 year old, almost 6 foot, 80 kg son was inadequate and hard as a rock - if you are 3 ask for an extra bed! The good: 1. Very well kept grounds and good cleaning 2. Good variety of food but only one restaurant besides the Tapas bar so it gets busy - go early when they open! 3. We had a sea view room - even though only on the first floor - stunning views! 4. There is a laundry at the hotel (newly opened) and cleaning products / use and ironing facilities for free - but only one washer / dryer 5. You can not buy any canned drinks from the hotel or shop in the hotel, you need to walk to the Spar, around 15/20 min walk away, so not bad, or 5 min taxi into Jandia (around 6 or 7 Euro - book at rec)

The hotel is perfect, the Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The food is delicious you have many many options so for sure you will always find something to eat and the service is exceptional, ALL persons who work there are unbelievable nice and supportive. The location is also perfect, in one of the most big and beautiful beaches there.

Wundervoller Urlaub im Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas – wir kommen wieder! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wir hatten einen traumhaften Aufenthalt im Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen und fühlten uns sofort willkommen. Das gesamte Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und stets hilfsbereit (vom Empfang über die Reinigungskräfte bis hin zum Restaurantteam). Unser Zimmer war geräumig, sehr sauber und mit einem fantastischen Meerblick. Besonders gefallen hat uns die liebevolle Gestaltung und die ruhige Atmosphäre – perfekt zum Entspannen. Das Highlight war definitiv das Essen: Eine riesige Auswahl, täglich abwechslungsreich, qualitativ hochwertig und immer frisch. Sowohl beim Frühstück als auch beim Abendessen war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Auch Vegetarier und Kinder finden hier ohne Probleme leckere Optionen. Die Lage des Hotels ist unschlagbar. Direkt an einem der schönsten Strände Fuerteventuras. Der feine Sandstrand lädt zu langen Spaziergängen ein, und das türkisfarbene Wasser ist einfach nur traumhaft. Liegen und Schirme waren immer ausreichend vorhanden, auch am Poolbereich. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Animations- und Unterhaltungsprogramm: dezent, aber professionell und nie aufdringlich. Unsere Tochter war begeistert vom Teenagerprogramm und den Sportmöglichkeiten. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können das Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Personal an der Rezeption Unprofessionell. Für eine all Inclusive Reservierung hätten wir erwartet, dass der Safe und die Nutzung der Bowling Bahn kostenlos ist. Bettwäsche wurde in der ganzen Woche nicht gewechselt. Handtuch Deposit musste bar bezahlt werden. Kein Concierge.

Rapport qualité / prix décevant

Hôtel bien situé, en surplomb d’une jolie plage de sable avec un accès direct depuis l’hôtel. La nourriture est très bonne, variée, avec un thème particulier chaque jour. Les piscines principales (dont une chauffée) sont agréables. J’ai été déçus par les points suivants : - chambres sont mal insonorisées (attention si vous avez des voisins bruyants !!) - pas de peignoirs à disposition en chambre, pas de chaussons non plus, - manque de places de parking (difficile d’en trouver une, même en s’éloignant) - pas de service aux différents bars. On se sert soi même (pour avoir testé d’autres Iberostar dans cette gamme de prix, le service des boissons était réalisé et c’est quand même + sympa). - qualité des boissons (vins et cocktails) très moyenne, comme dans beaucoup de all inclusive. J’ai été surpris qu’ils ne proposent pas des cocktails “supérieurs” moyennant un supplément. - coffre en chambre payant (3€ par jour), on n’est pas à ça près ok, mais les gérants de cet établissement a priori le sont ! Pour un 4 étoiles, cela devrait être inclus. Pour résumé : nous avons passé de bonnes vacances en famille, l’hôtel dispose de tous les services nécessaire pour cela et il est très bien situé. Ce n’est cependant pas le meilleur Iberostar où j’ai séjourné. Le rapport qualité / prix n’est pas à la hauteur. Je n’y retournerai pas.

Très bon séjour en famille

L'hotel est bien entretenu, les chambres sont spacieuses (/!\ le bruit résonne dans les couloirs donc peut parfois être bruyant surtout quand il y a des départs tôt le matin). Piscine chauffée, proche de la plage (attention transats payants). Restaurant avec de la variété et des plats de bonne qualité. Pas mal d'activités libres : un terrain de sport (basket/foot), un terrain de tennis, une (petite) salle de fitness, terrain de squash. des activités organisées aussi : pilates, yoga,... Activités pour les enfants (mais les notres n'y ont pas participé)
