"We stayed after finding out it was reopening following a renovation. Overall the stay was enjoyable, but the room looked quite dated and the service had issues at times with delays in orders at the bar and the restaurant. The main pool is nice, the best bit of this hotel, and clearly this is still one of the better hotels in Tahiti. "

"We came here for a honeymoon and the hotel opened just four months ago! We were able to do laundry as it was in the middle of our trip. Really modern and updated rooms! Rooftop on the fifth floor to overlook the city was cool! Walking distance of many shops, restaurants, downtown areas, and ferry!"

"I was impressed with the Maitai Express. Coming to Tahiti I had stayed in a different airport hotel and was extremely disappointed. I changed my reservations on my return to Tahiti but wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised, it was wonderful. Staff was amazing, cheery & helpful. Room was clean, lovely, soooooo comfy & the a/c worked perfectly. You can't beat the location for ferry to Moorea, cruise ship terminal & airport. Also great options for restaurants & shopping within walking distance. "

"This is a very nice property which was exactly as described. Communication with the hosts was excellent and they went out of their way to arrange a very early morning taxi to the airport. We did not rent a car and there were long walks to get to other parts of Papeete, which was fine for us. But this would be most convenient if you had a car and they offer free off street parking. Overall, really great!"
