Our room was very dirty. Under the beds were awful… we found other people sandals. Cobwebs in ceiling. Toilet rug disgusting. Not toilet paper provided. Swimming pool in poor condition .Water wasn’t clear. We couldn’t use it. Chickens around the garden all the time and droppings around our room and pool. Very noisy at night with many roosters around. Well overrated for the service they provide.

Pension au fond d une ruelle sombre . Accueil fermé à 17h , arrivée à 21h personne pour acueillir , renseignement reçu par mail ( faut il encore avoir de la wifi ) 30 mn avant notre arrivée nous indiquant le nom du bungalow. 2 jours après notre arrivée c’est nous qui avons renseigné des pauvres chinois qui était perdu ( accueil fermé a20h le jour de leur arrivé même pas un mot sur la porte et les numéros d urgence ne répondent pas ) Cette pension est sur un terrain où sont stockés des voitures de location ou de dépôt , beaucoup de bruit , coq a3h du mat , sombre. Piscine mais abord négligés face à des dizaine de voitures . On dirait que la pension était un hangar qu’on a divisé en 4 logements . Chek out tardif ok moyenant 67 euros …

Terribile!! Ho soggiornato 3 notti, purtroppo solo perché la prenotazione era già pagata. La stanza si trova in una zona isolata e degradata. Intorno ci sono case, galli rumorosi e si sente tutto dalle altre stanze. È un via vai continuo di gente, impossibile dormire. La struttura è rovinata, degradata, manca tutto, è sporca. Non tornerei qui mai più!! E il costo è comunque alto. Alla reception non sanno nulla, dicono di organizzare il trasporto ma non è vero, il porto è lontano per arrivarci a piedi con delle valigie. Intorno c’è solo un benzinaio con del caffè, un mini supermercato, entrambi aperti fino alle 8 e un ristorante cinese. Bisogna spostarsi nella zona e nelle vie piene di cani randagi e senza tetto.

The property is simple and clean. And its best amenity is the filtered water swimming pool & super convenient location. But its personnel are the highlight: Jaze, Mere, and Vairea, who run the front desk and attend to all the amenities, always with a smile and good cheer, always helpful, and always available. The property also offers very affordable car rental to explore the island as well. And the owner himself will take you to the airport (for a mere $20) at whatever hour you need to go, even 4 a.m.!

Tucked down a suburban alleyway between a petrol station and a supermarket, Tea Tahiti is an unpretentious guesthouse, but it has everything you need – walking distance from the port and city centre; friendly, helpful staff; simply decorated rooms with air conditioning, comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom, fridge, microwave, kettle and utensils; outdoor furniture and a swimming pool; onsite car hire and transfers. Our airport transfer for a 4am flight was no problem and reasonably priced. On the downside, the view is of neighbouring buildings and the car yard, reception has limited hours, and the gardens are not very well established. But with the occasional dogs barking, geckos chirping, the rooster crowing and the chickens pecking round our feet as we sat by the pool, it felt like an authentic slice of Tahitian life.

Tidy accommodation with two large, comfortable beds. Convenient location in Papeete. It was an overnight stay for us before heading to Moorea and was excellent for that.
