「We had the most wonderful weekend here! The location feels very remote, but that’s exactly what we were looking for. It was easy to get to Blackwater Falls, and other local must-see excursions. Dolly Sods was a bit further, but totally doable. The house was very clean, well stocked and the most comfortable beds! We highly recommend!!」

「GPS does not take you to the cabin. Use a real map or ask locally for directions. Cabin is just as it looks in the pictures. Had a nice dinner cooked on the provided charcoal grill. Plenty of towels and extra blankets were provided. Had a minor issue but help was on the way immediately. Will definitely be back again soon. 」

「We came to check out the Timberline and Canaan Valley ski resorts. Our cabin was a short drive to both and offered a quiet, private place to stay. The cabin had everything we needed to cook and the fireplace was very appreciated after a day on the slopes. We had one small issue with a broken shower curtain rod. The owner was very responsive and had it fixed the next day while we were out. I highly recommend this cabin.」

「I was in the area for work, so I didn't get to see many of the sites (other than the worksite), but this really suited my needs. I don't care for the hustle and bustle of hotels and I am very tired of "eating out". Here, I had a kitchen and everything else a person needs without all the road noise and people. The owners were great, very friendly. I only got to see them once, but it was a good to meet them. I really enjoyed having the gas grill right outside of the door and was eventually...

「We went hiking in the area, the place was pretty clean, would have liked a few more kitchen pots and pans, utensils, crock pot etc. We cooked every day at the cabin and had to improvise a little and no grill tools available. Loved the cabin and location, that wouldn't deter me from going back, just would have made things easier. Great place overall.」

「This place is very nice. Views from the windows facing the southern valley are spectacular. Loved the area and the neighboring towns of Davis and Thomas. The property is nicely secluded on a gravel mountain road just off a paved road that is not busy. The hiking in the area was great. My only complaint is the check in process which included an extra 10 minute drive to a realty office where I received not a key but the four digit code to the door. This could have been emailed in my opinion....

「My husband and I took our son here for our first family trip. The cabin was very cozy and decorated for fall. We loved it. We appreciated the kitchenware and were able to cook dinners while we were there. We loved the outdoor portion of the property. It was much larger than we expected. We also enjoyed using both of the fire pits while we were there. Overall, we had a great stay and hope to return again in the future.」

「This was the perfect secluded location and cabin. It was very cozy and clean. The only thing that could have made it better would be screens in the windows for some fresh mountain air. We have been to Alpine Lake many times and, although all the places we stayed were great, this by far was our favorite. We will definitely be returning to The Red Fox.」
