This property is on a beautiful piece of land. The tree lined entrance give it a picturesque majestic feel. The main hotel is simply stunning from the entrance. Once apon a time it was a 4 star as stated as the entrance but it definitely is not. This hotel however needs a great deal of renovation EVERYWHERE. The hotel entrance steps up are loose, the reception outdated, the staff need training oarticualirly the front of the house and bar area( def not 4 star) but service in breakfast area was great though. I would rate it 2 stars but it could easily be a 5 star 5 with renovation and staff training. We stayed in the courtyard room and they had scaffolding up that we weren’t told about and also had no electricity for 4 hours after check in. Absolutely no apologies or even a ticket for a drink in the restaurant. Up your game Lamphey Hotel and Spa and you could be a profitable hotel.

Terrible

Stayed here for a week. Overall stay ok breakfast staff are brilliant. The rooms never get vacuumed the floor is disgusting and the restaurant was swarmed with flies and dead flies that hadn’t been cleared for months. Don’t eat at the restaurant it’s sub standard at best. Complained a few times to no avail. Waited to speak with the manager Claire. She refused to speak to me and told the receptionist I should email her. I was stood at reception and could see Claire but she would not talk to me. Avoid at all cost.

Lovely scenic hotel

Lovely location, character hotel. Stayed in family annex just away from main hotel. Nice room and separate room for children. Was nice but would of liked more information at booking that the room was not in the main hotel building, especially as was premium rate.

A lovely one night stay in the coachhouses. Spa was so lovely and they also had a little childrens pool area which I thought was great for my 4 yr old. Lovely helpful staff, beautiful room and such a peaceful setting. Will definitely go back!

If you want to stay in a room surrounded by scaffolding up a set of stairs then this is the place to stay. My 80 year old mother struggled to use the stairs or locate her room in the dark. This was particularly upsetting after attending a wake and we were given no warning about either the room location or the scaffolding. Definitely not what you might expect from a 5 star hotel or the prices charged. When booking I deliberately opted for breakfast to be included but on arrival was told it was not included. Please be very careful to check of you are expecting breakfast to be included.

Great location, and amenities, the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Only drawback, the mattress was more hard than firm and the walls are a bit thin. I could hear the neighbours snore.

Celebrattion birthday treat.

Lovely hotel with a grand entrance . Beautifull decor inside with a separate lounge and two other areas for breakfast and dinner. very friendly staff,who allowed us to check in early after a six hour journey.room was beautiful and comfortable,met some friendly locals, who recomended some places to visit. Cooked breakfast was very good and plenty of choice of continental.we had dinner on the evening of my birthday,the the food was very good,the atmosphere was great.the evening staff were very friendly and welcoming. we had a great time, a perfect place for relaxing and some peace and quiet.

A nice treat

A big old house which will take a lot of looking after, we stayed in what must have been the staff anex in the day and the rooms were clean and quite large. The real bonus was the spa which was really great as was the breakfast. The staff were really polite and made the stay very pleasant. The restaurant was pleasant and the food good. Also an interesting menu range. The drinks were a bit pricey but overall what you maybe should expect at this type of property.

Couldn’t sleep when the people checked in above us. The following night there was a wedding there that played music until 2am. Sleepless nights before driving 4.5 hours to London was not what we hoped for. Also, no air con.

Value for money

Very clean, spaciousand comfortable rooms. Food was excellent and staff couldn't do enough for you except on guy working lunches and bar on Sun 30th May. He was hard to find and after waiting ages in the bar, was looking in conservatory, he came up behind me asked me to move so I did and add he passed I said oh it's you I'm looking for and he completely ignored me. Spa was lovely and relaxing, shame pool was really cold and hot tub was more like a warm tub. Even still overall value for money was excellent and would stay again
