Family gite sleeps 7 in beautiful former water mill.

Le Moulin is a self contained gite next to the owners house. The three bedrooms are let as B&B rooms most of the year, but in gite mode guests enjoy a large private kitchen and living space and an en suite bathroom with every room. A cot or click-clack beds may be added to accommodate more family members.
There is an outdoor seating and BBQ area right next to the river but there is no private fenced garden. If you have very young children or a dog, Chataignier gite may be better for you, as this features a secure garden.

  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.
