Fantastic view of the valley. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and when else do you get to stay in a castle?! Roof top access as well, with some tables and chairs for lounging up top, weather permitting. Id give 6/5 stars if I could.

We loved everything about the castle. We felt like we were back in the medieval times. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The staff was very attentive and helpful. You definitely need a car. The town is not far and getting to the heart of Perugia is close.

The castle itself was beautiful and wonderfully restored. The rooms were very comfortable and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The restaurant was minimalist and modern in design so not quite in keeping with the feel of the property overall, could do with a little more ambiance but the breakfast in the morning was really wonderful.

We stayed here in September and were so impressed that we built our recent Italian trip around staying here again. High standards maintained. We travelled into central Perugia by local bus which was easy and inexpensive. Taxi from train station was €17.
