"We rented this place because one of our children got married. It was less expensive than a hotel, and it gave everyone more space. The young children loved playing in the pool with cousins. It was quiet and comfortable."

"Not as the pictures show. Most everything is dirty and broken. Here is a breakdown of our 4-night experience:*Dirty, wrinkled, and stained carpets throughout*Dirty tile floors*Dirty dishes and pans were in the cabinets. Had to wash everything.*Broken shower door in main bed, replaced with a shower curtain.*Clogged drains - upstairs guest bathroom sink, downstairs shower.*Broken blinds, toilet paper holders, smoke detectors, burnt out lightbulbs throughout.*One out of five pool cues is usable. The rest are broken.*Multiple outdoor lounges are broken.*The pool heater was broken.The host was unresponsive to all but one message and did not resolve our issues. He gaslighted us by saying he would send a handyman over after the first day, but he never heard from him again and ignored every message afterward. We booked this house specifically for the heated pool and pool table. We couldn't really enjoy either. The host's lack of response was beyond frustrating. The only good thing was clean, comfortable beds. This was our worst VRBO experience ever. Seems like this home is no longer being maintained. "

"The house had everything you could possibly need. We fell in love with the reclining chairs in the living room. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and appliances. It was very clean and well stocked with towels and even pool toys/floaties. Everything was well maintained and beds/pillows were very comfy. The host was great and had excellent communication. The pool was comfortably heated and the spa was perfect and would heat to 104. We would highly recommend this house to anyone staying in the Avondale area. "

"DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! Communication was spotty at best. When we arrived there was a STRONG odor of cat pee coming from one of the three bedrooms that ultimately was unusable during our stay, leaving one of our party to sleep on the couch. Baseboard were visibly stained with pee. When I contacted the hosts they said " It was cleaned before your arrival, and according to our cleaner, no foul smell was reported." They offered to send the cleaners out but there was nothing that could be done at that point other than to cover up the odor which we didnt want with two babies in the house. After finally settling in we got both infants down to sleep and at 7pm an unannounced man showed up in the back yard and started trimming trees. He finished by leaf blowing (all while the babies were trying to sleep) and left with the pool filled with tree debris leaving it unusable for us the first night of our stay. The pool vacuum is on a timer so we couldnt operate it and as other reviews have mentioned there was no pool net.They eventually sent the pool guy to address the debris which was appreciated but also expected given the inconveniences. The kitchen was barely stocked with enough dishes for 4 of us. No wine glasses, scratched pans that were unusable and minimal silverware & glassware.I travel often and have never left a poor review on a property because I always give the host the opportunity to make it right which I did in this case multiple times and they did not respond.
