「Oh my word this place is incredible. Bed was comfortable great location and the original aspects of the old building brought up to date with modern convenience. I think Jennifer and I will be getting more acquainted because I have a hard time finding a decent place to stay when I come to my hometown to visit. Carlinville is good little town close to my hometown and made attending my best friends wedding in Gillespie a breeze. We will be back.」

「This was my 2nd time staying at the Rafton Inn. The place is clean, cozy, and close to the river, The Loading Dock, The Bloody Bucket, etc. I will continue to choose this place because of its location, price, and the communication that the host provides.」

「It was a wonderful conversion, how ever they have an extra large chair on the property and people just kept walking up, interrupting conversion on the deck attached. There is also ZERO SHADE on the deck. Hard to enjoy with heat and people constantly park right next to the place you're paying high$$$$ and zero privacy. The bed was so bad I slept in my vehicle!! Definitely upgrades and attention to detail lacking. Thumbs down 150%!!!! Will not revisit!」

「The place smelled great, was clean and updated, very tidy and had the minimal kitchen items we needed (plus coffee). It was a great location for us and our kids to walk to all the popular/common tourist locations. We didn't talk with the host hardly at all, as it wasn't needed. Everything was exactly as expected based on the booking pictures and info. The only time I reached out to jim he got back to me right away and was very helpful. Would definitely go back.」
