Fonte Bertusi was a pioneer in the concept of "green" (ecological) holidays in the Val d’Orcia. The business was established in 1990 by the Pisano family and since then they've been offering warm hospitality in a unique environment; at one with nature, history, beauty and art. Life here somehow eludes time. The ancient podere, or farmhouse, was built in the 1700s. Its robust stone structure has been carefully restored so as to preserve the flavor and atmosphere of the past. The apartment was built in a former barn. It is located on the ground floor and consists of a well equipped kitchen including a refrigerator and a cozy wood-burning, cast-iron stove. Both the bedrooms have a comfortable queen-sized bed. In the hallway, next to the bedrooms are two convenient wardrobes. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Just outside the door of the apartment, under a pergola covered with glycine, is a private outdoor dining area enclosed by a railing with a gate and furnished with a table and chairs.
