Five Stars With An *
Two couples and lifelong friends stayed at this beautiful property in September 2023. Everything about the listing was accurately presented. The pictures do not do it justice. The ‘cabin’ is very roomy, full of light and exceptionally decorated. The gourmet kitchen is to die for. This property was especially suited to one of our party with mobility issues.
The ‘asterisk’ comes because of a few maintenance issues that individually would never spoil a stay, but combined, makes for a few frown wrinkles. *Please ensure television remotes are working and/or provide replacement batteries. *Pocket doors are great, until they won’t slide. Bathroom pockets had to stay open or stay closed. Inconvenient. *Lastly, the driveway entrance was a surprise. Expectedly, it is on an incline. However, the transition from the roadbed to the drive is very very steep, causing a ‘bump’ upon entry. Once you get in, the drive flattens out nicely and makes for a very easy entry with suitcases and supplies. We had a high profile vehicle, so no problems. But a low car or vehicle with a tow package might drag a bit. The extra driveway turnaround space was greatly appreciated.
All in all, a FABULOUS stay. We are already making plans to return to The Hideaway and go back to The Perch for ‘Fish On A Stick”.
