"Wonderful stay! Beautiful location, a lovely room and great food (we had the LUXME package). The highlight for us was the Hot Stone Restaurant. The pools, spa and beach were all fantastic, and the staff were very friendly. The waterpark is separate for the children, which is great, and there is also horse riding available. We have been coming here for three years in a row and we will definitely come back again!"

The resort is secluded, so if you’re wanting to explore - expect to order a taxi as there’s nothing really within walking distance. The upscale restaurants were great, but expect to pay a lot. "Hotel Contessina is brilliant. An oasis of a hotel in what is a bustling resort town. Once inside the doors you could be anywhere in the world. The design of the renovated hotel is brilliant. Modern and sophisticated, and the planting is beautifully done. We enjoyed 2 weeks here, using it as a base to discover the island when we had a car for some of the time. The main pool area is lovely, but be warned, all of the pools are 1.4m deep with no shallow / deep ends."
