Home away from home! Amenity-filled 3BR, 1.5BA home in Sewickley Village
Welcome to Boxwood House! This fully private home is located on a quiet street in the heart of Sewickley Village - what we consider to be the best neighborhood in Pittsburgh. We are a 20 min drive from Downtown Pittsburgh and a 15 minute drive from PIT International Airport. The home comfortably sleeps 6 and is equipped with plenty of amenities to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, including a hot tub!
The space features 3 bedrooms (all located on second floor), 1.5 bathrooms, a hot tub, backyard with a gas grill and fire pit area, and front porch with seating. There are luxe touches throughout the home, like French bed and bath linens from Garnier-Thibaut - robes included! We have Smart TVs in the living room and bedrooms, and a gorgeous Art Deco-inspired full bath with toiletries from Public Goods.
Neighborhood
- The home is located on a quiet, residential street. Please respect our neighbors! Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am.
Kitchen
- Fully equipped with essential pots, pans, appliances, and utensils. We proudly offer Nespresso coffees and Harney & Sons teas in our caffeination station. There is a toaster and microwave.
Bathroom
- The bathroom is stocked with Public Goods shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, as well as extra towels. We provide a hair dryer.
Bedrooms
- Each bedroom has a plush mattress with French linens and down bedding. Ceiling fans in each one.
Laundry
- Detergent & dryer sheets provided. We provide a mini ironing board, iron, and steamer (iron and steamer located in the bathroom vanity on the right side).
TV
- All TVs are "smart" and include a house Netflix and SlingTV account.
Parking
- There is one dedicated parking space in the covered driveway and street parking on the side and in front of the house.
Other
- Great backyard space with chiminea, grill, and hot tub! Board games provided.
Security
- The house has 2 cameras on the entrances that face the exterior of the house. We also have a decibel monitor located outside only. Please note that we take our guests' privacy very seriously and ONLY review video/noise levels if there is an issue.

Charming and comfortable house.

Lovely home
After a rocky start with the choices housekeeping made after dealing with a an unexpected washer breakdown, the remainder of our stay was lovely. The owner was apologetic & handled the inconvenience fairly. The home is in a great location with an easy, scenic walk to Sewickley’s restaurants & shopping. Furniture is comfortable, quality linens & towels are provided & the owners are very generous in providing supplies like coffee & paper products. The hot tub is a wonderfully relaxing amenity & the bathroom shower is roomy with great shower heads & water pressure! We truly enjoyed front porch sitting & our 9 night stay at the Boxwood House.

Great location and cute home
We loved the town of Sewickley with its coffee shops and other boutiques. The cottage was immaculate with nice decor and comfortable furniture. Everything was as described. The hosts were welcoming with a bottle of wine awaiting our arrival. We highly recommend and plan to return. The bridge over the Ohio River to Sewickley can be congested but we planned accordingly since we needed to cross for travel to our destinations.

Satisying stay.
My friends and I stayed in this home the weekend of a Steelers game and very much enjoyed it. The listing has a good accuracy. The kitchen and bathrooms are standouts of the property. The check in/out process was very smooth and communication with the hosts was great! Our only complaint was that it was a little dusty inside.

Beautiful but zero privacy
The inside of this home was immaculate. Very impressed with everything and no complaints surrounding cleanliness or anything of that sort. I was a bit standoffish in the dining room considering there was no curtains or blinds on the windows.there was also zero privacy outside. The neighborhood was very nice but if you are someone who likes to sit outside and dislike being stared at the entire time then this isn’t the place for you. We felt like we were intruders to them. The hot tub was useless due to the lack of privacy as well. 5 star though for all the basic things that I need when staying somewhere!
