Villa Bricco Astiani

"The villa itself is excellent - roomy, clean and well- equipped. The bedrooms are large and have good storage. There is air conditioning in every bedroom and a portable unit downstairs which was much appreciated in August. 3 big bathrooms all with showers and baths suited our party of 8. The pool is a good size and cleaned regularly by Manuel who was very helpful with tips and advice for places to visit throughout our stay. The terrace and grounds were a bit tired and overgrown but our visit was during a heatwave which may have impacted gardening opportunities! The only improvement would be more sun loungers around the pool - there are lots of chairs but only about 4-5 loungers. It did not affect our enjoyment of the pool though. Be aware the pool has no shallow end so not great for very young children who cannot swim. Our 2 young swimmers (6 & 9) loved the pool! Absolutely glorious views from the terraces. Lots of vineyards nearby and within walking distance but be aware there are no restaurants within walking distance. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Check-in was easy on the day and the rental agency were contactable through the stay (we didn’t need to contact them) but contacting the host beforehand through the Vrbo app was difficult and in the end I contacted the agency directly with my query."

"Barbara greeted us with her friend who helped translate and explain all the amenities of her property. The pictures don’t do it justice as the place is even more intriguing and beautiful. Her husband also helped us get the tv working while we were at dinner so we could watch the final game of the World Cup. They offered great local suggestions of a restaurant by the castle and other local highlights in nearby towns. The pool was so refreshing the next day. They partner with various restaurants to get discounts and reservations. Next time I would like to stay longer than 2 nights."
Villa Annunziata

"We just had the most fantastic week at the Villa Annunziata. It was an incredible base for our Piedmont adventures, from exploring the historic towns nearby, to journeying to the mountains and the ocean.We were two families of four, with teenagers ranging from 14-17. The pool was terrific, and we spent a lot of our time under the umbrellas poolside, marvelling at the expansive view - it is breathtaking, and hard to do justice in photos. The sunrises and sunsets over the rolling hills with towers and castles silhouetted against the sky were especially magical.The villa is gigantic, with lots of room to spread out, and lots of privacy for each couple. The kitchen is well stocked with just about everything you need for gourmet meals. The villa is so big that we didn’t even discover the small apartment with a whole separate kitchen just off the main house until a few days into our stay.After a small electrical issue, Frederico was very responsive and came to ensure everything was working properly.Really no complaints at all. There are a few mosquitoes at dusk and a couple of barking dogs in the neighbourhood, but nothing that really bothered us. Would highly recommend this place to any group looking for a magical stay in Piedmont!"

"Excellent stay in new build property with high end design and construction. Nice pool and garden with paradise view, but weather too cold for a dip. Host Consuelo managed breakfast herself, with all rhe goodies, could not wish for more. Definitely piece of paradise, surrounded by vineyards. Thanks again for making us feel at home.
