This is a grand old hotel, right on the western tip of Sandbanks. The balcony views of Poole harbour and Studland are beautiful. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was a standard hotel buffet that could have been improved to reach the high standards of the rest of the hotel.

Great location right at the water’s edge. Property could do with painting here and there and the bathroom taps needed some attention. Water pressure was low so shower was not great. Fire alarm went off twice in the early hours of the first day and it took the staff ages to get the alarm light to go out in our room.

The hotel room with a sea view was great. We loved sitting on our balcony watching the boats go by and going to sleep with the sound of the washes. The hotel was in an excellent location. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food in restaurant was superb.

everything was perfect this is our 4th stay and will not be our last, but on a negative and we did ask for a budget room but it still cost 164 pounds and there was plenty of room but the windows looked out at a wall no air we used the small fan provided no natural light very dark sorry to complain but i think the over all feel of the hotel out ways the problem of the room 107. The food, staff and the beautiful location fantastic.

Amazing location. The beach is on your doorstep. Really friendly staff on arrival. Not so great in the bar and at breakfast. Didn’t have the same personal feeling / vibe for everyone . Could not fault the view or the area surrounding the hotel. Really enjoyed going across the water on the chain ferry. Would visit again for the location.
