The property itself is amazing – most notably, the location is direct beach access, so it’s convenient for adults with medical/health issues or small children requiring easy/frequent access to the unit.
Maintenance issues happen, and unexpected things go wrong with properties from time to time – this is understandable. However, our experience here was, when things do go wrong, that’s when you learn more than you ever wanted to know about the property management company (when you’re supposed to be on vacation).
It’s not what happens, it’s how you address what happens that makes the difference.
Unfortunately, our experience was that the actual interaction and tone of engagement with Pristine’s property management is predominantly unresponsiveness mixed with untimely and/or insensitive responses depending on the day of the week, and subsequently, which local team member you might be able to connect with…
Additionally, we found that being proactive and actively seeking resolution of any possible concerns completely falls to the renter (again you are dealing with all of this while you are supposed to be relaxing on vacation).
For us, this completely mitigates any possible benefit the property could provide.
Essentially the first two days of our vacation was filled with stress and worry, and now, two weeks later, we are still in process of trying to resolve one final detail.
We loved Mexico Beach and will return there in the future. However, we will never stay in another Pristine managed property, anywhere.
