House is gorgeous with a breathtakingly expansive view and fabulous windows to enjoy it with. All sorts of boats pass by for entertainment. Deer were often around and we saw the resident eagle twice. Wasn’t the season for the sea lions which was disappointing. House is very well maintained, like new, had everything we needed. Furniture selection was awesome - all the sofas and chairs invite you to just lounge and never get up! Deck was fabulous too. One con for us was that we didn’t care too much for one part of the house - what would have been the original part - while it was fully renovated and very neat and well appointed and still had great windows with a view, it had some odd elements ( for example, one room had an open toilet sink area that has stairs leading from it to a loft space, and a separate open shower area with no doors on either; and then another room opened into it and another small dark sitting area etc.) and felt a bit dingy. We mostly hung out in the gorgeous family room and master which had very uplifting energies. Location at end of the road made it very private which was fabulous, but I liked that there was one adjoining house to the right because it felt too isolated to me at night with the woods and dark lake - not used to such a setting. Marrowstone and Olympic area in general were more underdeveloped than we had realized, but they have their own untouched charm. Port Townsend nearby has a cool downtown to visit with lots of chic stores. Didn’t need the property manager; owner was great to communicate with and allowed us to check in 2 hrs early which was nice. All in all, we had a fabulous time and didn’t want to leave!
