Penzance Portheras Cove Hotels

"Nice location as opposite the beach parking not on site but in Pay & display car park next door. Booked a premium room with sea views but view obstructed by scaffolding but was due to be dismantled soon. Room was nice but not exactly spotless as very dusty especially on drinks tray & lights, TV. Also Shower screen damaged and bathroom blind broken. With a little more care and attention & TLC checks before check in, the hotel could be really nice as fantastic location, especially in the summer for drinks. "

"Easy check-in, very friendly and helpful staff, and a cooked-to-order breakfast were the stand-outs from my stay. There is good parking and the hotel is in a prime location with excellent views of the bay. This was my third stay at the Queens Hotel and I have no hesitation in booking again."

"The room was nice, and it was very clean with lovely sea views, in a good location, only being 5 minutes walk outside town, but the walk back is somewhat more difficult because it’s uphill. Although I have one complaint, you realistically have to be down for breakfast at 9am sharp because they close for breakfast and remove the breakfast counter at 9:30am on the bottom. "

"Large, clean room, very comfortable. Host was lovely, very helpful, good directions, too. Breakfast had lots of options as well. Good location, too."

"Bathroom needed attention and also woodwork on wooden sash windows could have done with cleaning and painting.Plug on the bedroom heater got very hot so didn't use!Plug in the bathroom sink didn't stay down so couldn't use. Bath panel had been patched up so needed new one. Floor looked as though there had been a flood at some point. Didn't feel comfortable in there!Having said all that we enjoyed our stay and the cream tea was a nice touch. "

"The room was tiny so it was a bit difficult to have two suitcases in it. Maybe shelves instead of the closet would be more workable for couples. The bathroom was the smallest but most functional I've ever had. Alan was really helpful with the map to find the best places about and tide table for visiting St Michaels Mount. Would definitely recommend it. "
