“Positives: location is 1min from metro, 15 mins easy walk from centre, in a local non-touristy neighbourhood. Bed linen and towels clean. Beds comfortable. Negatives: poor communication from host on several issues outlined below. Mould on bedroom curtains. Apartment stunk of damp. Problems: - it took 20 mins to check in because of a fault with the door code. For half of this time the host didnt communicate what they were doing to resolve the problem so we had no idea how long it would take.……

“Nice property but not as good quality as expected. Quite pricey for a relatively basic property. No information pack regarding local area, restaurants, bins etc. TV doesn’t work, not all bedrooms have air conditioning. Area is quiet to traffic, but noisy dogs all hours. For info: sun only on terrace for a few hours a day.”

“This property is managed by a third-party company, not an individual host. We paid in full 8 months prior, but months later the company emailed claiming they hadn't received payment and we might lose our booking. VRBO couldn't help with the third-party transaction, and the company ignored our VRBO messages. It was eventually resolved via email, but very stressful.Oddly, as our stay approached and during our trip, they completely turned around, used the VRBO tool, and were highly responsive.Once……
