Incredible stay at the Governor's. The warm welcome, the room was beautiful, spacious and clean. You can really see that the staff loves their job. We ate at the restaurant, food was good, again staff so lovely!

Very quaint in my opinion, almost a bed and breakfast feel. Room was very clean, had a workable desk for my laptop. The Steak & Ale restaurant was very good, I sat at the bar and got a really good burger. It was very busy there when I got there on Friday, seemed like a lot of people at the bar where regulars but they were talkative and friendly. The only "complaint" I would give is that there is an event room or bar to the left of the check-in desk. It was pretty loud with music, however; it seemed to stop at 10 or 11, so if you go to bed you may need earplugs. I honestly didn't have any issue with it and it didn't bother me when I watched TV. I would go back

We’ve frequently stayed at the Governor’s Inn. Room furniture and fixtures are a bit dated, but that’s the charm. The property is older, and every room has its quirks. Staff are friendly and there’s a restaurant and bar on the main floor.
