This hotel is right by the beach, although we stayed at an Amex building across the road. Rooms seem to have been updated with modern tiles. Breakfast was ample with fast service for a la carte items. I especially liked the staff, their attentiveness and engagement with the guests. Location was excellent with several nice restaurants within walking distance. For a medium budget hotel, I would recommend it.

Sehr gute Lage. Barfuß-Restaurant direkt am Strand. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir hatten keine Halbpension und haben a la Carte im Hotel gegessen. Wir mussten leider sehr lange auf das Essen warten. Das Essen war sehr gut. Auch gute Lage an einem schönen Strand. Drum herum gibt es genügend Einkehrmöglichkeiten und eine tolle Bar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Charles sorgt für Sicherheit und hat uns als Ansprechpartner immer weiterhelfen können.

Great stay for a reasonable price

The hotel likely has one of the best locations on Praslin given proximity to excellent diving and other excursions. Having breakfast on the beach itself is an additonal plus of this hotel.

It’s a small, cute resort right on the beach. We stayed across the street in one of the guest rooms but it was still quiet and quaint. Our first night for dinner the service was slow, but afar from that the staff was friendly and personable as our stay continued. The receptionist was very efficient with providing us with any services we requested.

A great stay

Location was great. Hotel was overbooked so we had 1 night in a room that was not the sea view we had paid for. Service recovery was exemplary. We had a suite for the remaining 2 nights and dinner for 3 nights! Service was great... a shoutout to Mr Pai the manager who attended to our every need!!

Best Beach/Hotel Combination in Seychelles

There are NO ocean front rooms at this hotel. There are no rooms that match the photos of this property. Were told that due to vegetation growth, rooms have only a partial ocean view. Very disappointing, but room was very comfortable, attractively furnished, with a lovely balcony facing the ocean that we could not see. Overall, hotel is very attractive, and is in an enviable position on the Côte D'Or. Right on the sand of an amazing beach: long and wide, with white sand the texture of flour, islands off the coast, and a great place to chill for the entire day. Hotel offers chaises, umbrellas, beach towels. Staff goes out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast is included: fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order, and all other breakfast items. Can have dinner in romantic garden/beach setting. We spent 10 days in Seychelles, and this was my favorite beach/hotel combination. We plan to return and stay here.

A magnificent place

This hotel has an absolutely wonderful location - right on the beach at Cote D'or on Praslin. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the beach is simply magnificent. In addition, Anse Lazio, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world is located just a few kilometers to the west and a few kilometers to the south you have a very nice natural park with the impressive palms Coco De Mer, which are endemic to the Seychelles. Moreover day tours to the nearby islands Curieuse with giant tortoises and La Digue with spectacular stone formations are easily organized at the hotel. The hotel has a very nice outdoor restaurant where nice dishes are served. There are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay and can only give Village du Pecheur our best recommendations.

Charmigt men slitet

Ett anrikt hotell som förfaller. Trasiga parasoll, eftersatt underhåll och känslan är att det kunde varit så mkt bättre och att ägaren lämnat skeppet och satsar på annat. Servicen är dock utmärkt och läget utomordentligt. Du kan faktiskt äta middag på stranden. Frukost så där, mat så där. Tänk på att om du bokar standardrum hamnar du i en annan byggnad. Inte så dåligt, men bra att veta. Hoppas hotellet kan få ny ägare och blomstra upp till de nivåer du kan ana att det hade på 1960-talet.

A good hotel. When we stayed it felt a bit "tired", but as soon as we checked out the whole hotel was under renovation - change of furniture in all the rooms etc. Great location right on the beach, has its' own nice restaurant that serves great food, close to small supermarkets, different restaurants (even when inside other hotels), dive shop, only 15 min away from the jetty. All together we enjoyed our stay.

La camera standard da noi scelta, già dalle prime ore si allaga di acqua proveniente dal soffitto del bagno.Provano a minimizzare poi quando si rendono conto che era allagata ci dicono di essere a conoscenza del problema e decidono di darci un upgrade nella suite. Peccato che quest’ultima era infestata di termiti, scolopendra morta, gechi che lasciavano escrementi sul muro e cosa peggiore anche il letto infestato di animali. Essendo accaduto tutto ciò di sera ho dovuto personalmente rifare il letto con un telo di fortuna che ho richiesto al guardiano anche un po’ scocciato! Le scuse dell’albergo si sono concluse con una bottiglia di “champagne “ (chiamarlo tale è inappropriato) e dicendo che ci avevano comunque dato un upgrade! Vecchio, sporco, obsoleto lasciate perdere!

Very smelly room with old furniture not looked after. Staff always unhappy and careless. Waiting for table service at the breakfast take ages. Food bad quality and limited choice. The only nice people were the reception staff and cleaner. Not recommend although the location is very good.

Good 3 star hotel in a fine location

The Seychelles is an expensive place so expectations need to be realistic. Hotel is clean and comfortable and in a prime location on one of the best beaches.
