The cabin was set up perfectly! They had just about anything you could imagine, just in case you forgot it, which worked out well because we forgot to pack a few things.
When the cabin warmed up some midday, it was the beginning of July after all, they have a portable a/c which was able to knock the temperature down a few degrees in a matter of minutes.
Our first morning there my wife opened the blinds to the patio she hollered pretty loudly so i tan over to her. There was a doe staring back at her. I’m guessing the doe was used to the screaming when she’s first discovered because she didn’t bat an eye at it.
I was able to creep out the door and approach her. She was pretty used to humans and let me cautiously approach and even gently pet her. She was pretty skittish of being touched but nonetheless she stayed there all day. There was another doe laying under the patio of the main house and a couple other younger deer, including a young buck with lil nubs growing out of its head.
Whenever my wife and I are out of the city and in nature, we’re always excited to see wildlife that we don’t get to see in the valley and it was amazing to have the wild come to us.
When dusk was approaching, and the deer were headed down the creek to bed down, there was a group of 11 of those deer.
We are definitely coming back to Little Lynx Cabin. It was a great, relaxing, getaway.
