Two well equipped gites of character with swimming pool & games room

Luxury self catering gites in beautiful, quiet rural surroundings of the Poitou-Charente. Our three gites date back to the 16th Century and were part of a former winery which have been sympathetically converted in 2018/9, providing spacious accommodation with modern facilities. Situated on the Loire/Vienne border close to Futuroscope, the Chateaux of the Loire Valley, Vineyards of Saumur and Chinon as well as historic towns such as Poitiers, Tours and Richelieu.

The gites have private terraces with seating and bbq which open onto large communal gardens with 10m x 5m in ground swimming pool and separate former bread oven converted into a games room. We have two large table and chairs for all guests to dine together either outside undercover or inside, suitable for all times of the year.

The characterful stone cottages under clay tile roofs offer much historic interest such as flag stone floors, exposed oak beams, fireplaces, indoor well covered with safety glass, vaulted ceilings and lime washed walls.

The accommodation in La Vieille Maison comprises on the first floor a master bedroom with extra large bed (180cm x 200cm) and en suite shower room. There are two further bedrooms both with twin beds these rooms share the family bathroom. On the ground floor is a kitchen/dining room with large fireplace and a sitting room with fireplace.

The accommodation in La Maison de Puits comprises on the first floor a master bedroom with extra large bed (180cm x 200cm) and en suite shower room. There is also a room with 3 single beds and a sofa. On the ground floor there is a further bedroom with an extra large bed, kitchen/dining room with covered well, sitting room and a bathroom off the main stone staircase.

After stay cleaning, bed linen and towels are included with this rental.
