It's situated approx 7 mins away from town in one direction, so you can leave the car on the drive, (a major plus) and 10 mins walk away from the woods in the other: ideal for an early morning, or any time dog walk! There's a hose in the garden for dirty boots and dogs and the back gate locks for security. Heating was easy to adjust and the fire worked beautifully. "I stayed while the hotel was undergoing renovation (the restaurant). It was nevertheless quiet, I had an excellent salad and delicious breads with room service, the staff was very warm and friendly and went out of their ways to help. They even allowed me to check in hours early! The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning very strong (could be adjusted in the room exactly to my liking) while it was very hot outside in July. Excellent! Highly recommend the lovely Castle Hotel and will stay again. Thank you!"
