This works well for folks who spend the days exploring the island. Just be aware that the walls are paper thin and the downstairs neighbors complain about footsteps.

Hello Allyson! Thank you so much for being our guests! Most of all we appreciate your patience with the downstairs guests. They booked for 6 wks and all I can say is we have never in 20 yrs had guests like this. She is a little extreme. I won't deny you can hear heavy footsteps and elevated voices, especially on the lanai over the bedroom window, from the dwnstrs unit. These were built in the 70's without insulation. We are figuring out some measures to take to help minimize the noise. She should fire her travel agent for not properly researching her vacation getaway. We appreciate you and I am very sorry if they made you uncomfortable during your stay. Most guests are out & about enjoying the beauty that surrounds them. Not these two. Beautiful Stay
This property is great! You can fall asleep with waves crashing and plenty of windows for a cool breeze. The bathroom was great with updated shower and kitchen area had everything I needed. Quiet community and very cute place!

Amazing property in great location!
We had the best time staying at this property on the north shore of Kauai! The location was awesome! We were right on the 15th hole of the Makai golf course and would walk on the cart path each morning for amazing sunrise views over the ocean! We could also walk to the Princeville market for groceries, breakfast, dinner, etc. The condo itself was perfect for the two of us. The newly remodeled shower was luxurious and the crosswinds we could get through the condo were heavenly! No AC was needed nor missed. The beach gear also came in clutch for our beach days. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends or family visiting this area!

Really lovely property! Very updated, super clean and had a cozy, private vibe that we really wanted for our vacation rental. Location was superb too. Ocean was within earshot and the trade winds at night and early AM were very cooling. The place had everything we needed, so super happy and would stay again!

A Cozy North Shore Stay
This place was a great home base for my wife and I as we explored the north shore of the island. The condo is cozy, but felt plenty big for a couple. The property is well-kept and pretty, but there's not much too it or the pool; fortunately, Princeville and the surrounding area provide plenty of reasons to go out and explore. (Pro-tip: go to Anini Beach, but go past the beach park, past the "road closed ahead" signs, until the road ends. You won't regret it.) As others have noted, the kitchenette is smaller than you might like, and it can a bit harder to prep food than you might think, but if you know that going into it, you can prepare for it. I would also note that this condo does get fairly toasty during the daytime, even with fans going. We were usually out during the day, so this didn't bother us much, but if you plan on staying inside a lot, take that into consideration. All-in-all, a great place to stay!

Review
The property is located in a beautiful location, close to a variety of resturants and activities. Owner provides beach equipment which is a nice touch. Property is not as nice as pictured. The property is older and I was disappointed when I saw it in person. Also the wifi is very spoty. If wifi is needed for work, I would not recommend.

Thank you Tracie for your time to write a Review! Now that we have recovered from the downfall of cancellations and no travels to Kauai due to COVID, we are slowly upgrading our condo. We have upgraded the floors, sofa, mattress and curtains, last year. New fridge & windows in May '23. Our next project is to update the bathroom, Nov '23. The full bathroom is in good condition, just dated. The kitchenette was upgraded within the last 3 years. At the time we complete the bathroom, we will purchase a new TV stand, & bedroom dresser. We continuously improve our properties, to hopefully make our guest's stay very comfortable & enjoyable! It is so nice to be able offer guests affordable rent, in Princeville, where the new 1 Hotel's entry level room is $1300 a night? Stay here for the location !
I felt 100% safe in this rental, I would stay here alone. Biggest bonus is walking across the golf course to see the ocean and sunrise. The furnishings need some upgrades. And the WiFi is not good. But bed is comfy, always can find a parking spot and you won’t miss the a/c with all that cross breeze.

Peaceful lanai mornings with Kauai coffee and the birds
This is a beautifully light and airy space, well-situated in a quiet Princeville complex, quick to get out to the highway, and an easy distance from both Hanalei and Kilauea. My husband and I loved our lanai mornings with coffee and breakfast, taking in the lush trees and bird life. We especially loved watching the nesting Laysan albatross down below, what a special treat! The kitchen was just the right size for the two of us, the fans were sufficient for cooling, and we really appreciated the thoughtful details throughout, from the drying rack on the lanai to the bucket of beach supplies and so much more. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay here again!

Plumeria Trees
I was pretty much comfortable here though access to the beach was very challenging. It was mostly clean though I looked under the bed when I was checking out to make sure I wasn't leaving anything behind. It had not been cleaned for some time. My biggest complaint is the windows rattling and the main window facing the ocean could not be opened to let the breeze in. The host was communicative, friendly, and helpful.

Hello Paula! Thank you for staying with us! I have let my housekeeper know about the floor under the bed being missed. Sometimes when we have back to backs, her crew rushes & cuts corners. The windows I am thrilled to say, are all being replaced,. They have arrived finally and are being installed soon! The sea air is harsh on these aluminum framed windows and everything else. ;) We have tried keeping a shim in place for the rattling but when the window cleaners come they pop out the shim & don't put it back. The beaches you can walk to from the condo are challenging especially if the trails are wet. There are so many beautiful beaches that are a short drive to, that are EZ access. The location is great, quiet, and overlooks the ocean (from one window only). Some downsides - a full flight of stairs (problematic, if you have heavy luggage), some dishes were dirty when we arrived. There are lots of notes all around, but they are faded. You are asked to literally clean the place before you leave. While i understand that sentiment, while on holiday, i like to maximize my time relaxing rather than spending time on these things. In retrospect, we should have paid for a hotel in Kapaa which is equidistant in both directions and only slightly more in price than this place. Some small issues - lumpy bed, windows that do not close.

The place was decent. It is located in the golf course community. We were disappointed in the kitchen. It was the size of a small bathroom. It had a 2 burner cooktop and toaster oven for preparing meals. The fridge was really small.. I was not easy preparing meals We should have paid more attention to the listing and it's reviews. Cozy Condo
Our stay at the condo was comfortable and the host was very attentive. We had a few issues with the tv reception and Pamela was responsive immediately, she sent a technician out the next morning and the problem was fixed. We found the condo to be well stocked and comfortable. We both commented on how comfortable the bed, pillows (I am a pillow snob) and linen were-we slept soundly. There is no AC but we found that the three fans and sleeping with the windows open was perfect. There are many stairs, something to consider for anyone with limitations. There were beach chairs, boogie boards and a beach umbrella which were great. The kitchen was tiny with a small fridge, two burner stove and a microwave-we found this to be more than ample for the two of us. Another bonus-there were coolers we had use of to pack a lunch for the beach. Overall, a great little space to stay in Princeville-there is even a bit of a view of the ocean from one of the windows. We would stay again.

Unfussy and easy place to stay
This rental served as an unfussy home base for us. If you plan on spending more time out and about, then consider staying here. Keep in mind the Wi-Fi and electrical outlets may be unreliable. (We created some workarounds and didn’t bother the owner about it.). Also, the owner isn’t kidding when they say the walls are paper thin.

Overall, this rental was great. The unit was very clean, bright, inviting, and comfortable. I appreciated that there was a cook top and a washer and dryer. Cooking at home certainly saves money. There was lots of beach ready gear available in the unit. Although my partner and I didn’t end up using it, it was nice to have the option and I can certainly see how it would come in handy if you plan on spending time on the beach. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with cookware. I wish there would’ve been some sort of sweetener and creamer in the coffee bin. My one complaint is that there were quite a few rules posted all throughout the unit. I understand it’s a private rental and they want their space respected but, I went on vacation to get away from home and relax, not go somewhere that has more rules than my house. But again, I understand that not every vacationer is respectful of someone else’s things and putting up notes can help alleviate any issues. All in all we enjoyed our stay in this rental.

Aloha Madelyn! I am so happy to hear you had a good time! With a market 1 mi away we have found that guests can pick up their fave's, very easily. I get it, we don't have rules in our home either, not necessary...right? Unfortunately, if we do not have reminders, electric bills are unnecessarily high & wasteful and washers & dryers break due to carelessness. To get anything repaired is extremely challenging/expensive and inconveniences the next guest. We appreciate your understanding of the reminder(s). It sounds like you are considerate guest! A week in paradise
A friend & I stayed at this property for a week and were very pleased with our selection. The condo complex is lovely, not a lot of units, easy parking, and quiet - the perfect touchdown spot for a tropical getaway. The ocean view from the bedroom was a lovely way to wake up, and a quick walk across the golf course allowed for great sunset viewing right from your front door. We were very comfortable without a/c (just using fans & open windows) and really enjoyed the feeling of outdoor living everywhere we went in Kauai. I will say, it would have been challenging to prepare full meals in the kitchenette. However, it worked great for reheating leftovers, simple breakfasts, and prepping lunches to take on-the-go. With all of the amazing local restaurants and food trucks, we didn't want to cook anyways! Would definitely stay here again!

The best part about this place is it's close proximity to Hanalei. There really isn't a lot in Princeville but condos and private homes. Felt like a neighborhood and given a few more days, we might have found some things to do in Princeville. There isn't much of a view from the deck except trees and other condos. Feels a bit like a fishbowl in the bedroom! No AC but plenty of fans which were sufficient. Kitchen is tight so did little cooking and fridge is compact so know you are limited there. Felt safe and comfortable.

The location , the easy communication with host , the views and area were great , the only recommendation is that unit needs a few little upgrades to make your stay above and beyond . Carpet and bathroom need upgrades. Also there are hand written notes all over unit , recommend to get it typed and laminated as it makes it look nicer and more attractive to stay in . Overall nice place to stay but for a few more $ I’d probably stay at a more upgraded unit

Great place for exploring the North Shore
This was a nice place and good value for the money. The unit was clean and the setting was quiet and relaxing. The location makes for a great place to stay for exploring North Shore sites and beaches. It's a quick drive to Princeville Center and Hanalei is about 10 minute drive. It was great to have the beach chairs and towels available. You can walk to Sealodge Beach, but it can be a sketchy minute hike. It's a great beach, but the hike down isn't for everyone- steep and slippery at times. My recommendation to the owner is to upgrade the lockbox and improve the lighting by the front door. I checked in after dark and it was difficult to see and navigate the lockbox with no light. Other than that, it's a great place.

We loved Pamela’s property. The location is gorgeous and has views of the water, it is close to an amazing sunset viewing spot too. The room got a little warm during the day, so we switched the sheer shades for darker ones and it helped tremendously!
