Beautifully maintained property with wonderful space for socialising and outdoor dining. The location for us was perfect being two minutes to drive to central Pula with its fabulous cafes shops and restaurants and 5 minutes to Nora Beach and the extensive archaeological site. The villa is well equipped with a washing machine, everything you need in the kitchen, and a sewing kit came in handy too. As two couples we loved having a bathroom each. Marco and Claudia were delightful to deal with and speak multiple languages. We hope to return one day!

Ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit einem sehr gepflegten Garten/ Pool. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Alle Geräte funktionierten. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir finden, dass ein Auto zwingend notwendig ist. Das Objekt ist von uns weiterzuempfehlen.

Die Villa Gilda ist ein ganz zauberhaftes Haus. Es wurde von den Besitzern mit viel Liebe und einem Blick für Details eingerichtet. Der Garten ist grandios. Die Begrüßung von Claudia und Marco war sehr herzlich. Obstkorb, Weinflaschen, Kaffee und Wasser haben uns gleich zu Hause fühlen lassen. Vielen Dank für diesen großartigen Urlaub!

A fabulous villa with an amazing pool set in superb gardens

The villa was lovely and clean and a brilliant set-up for two adults and two children. Having two bathrooms was very welcome indeed. As shown in the phots, the pool and gardens are amazing and very well kept. We had one very windy day and Claudia organised a much needed non-scheduled pool clean afterwards which we all really appreciated. Claudia and Marco were really lovely. They were very welcoming and showed us around on the first day and then left us to enjoy ourselves. We much rather that approach than being constantly interrupted by a villa owner. They clearly understand privacy is important. There were only minor points knocking off a star from our overall rating. Firstly, it's a shame wi-fi is not available. We coped easily enough with using hotspots from our Vodafone mobile connection but these days, a proper wi-fi connection would be very welcome. The other point is the noisy dogs from next door. They weren't bothering us all the time but sometimes you could see a barking dog prowling along the fence. The owners never once called the dog back - it's a shame as their ignorance can impact on the lovely Claudia and Marco's reputation. It's a shame you can't award half stars as our overall rating is really 4.5. Highly recommend.

First trip to Sardinia

Lovely villa, pool and gardens in reasonable location from Pula. 5 min drive to nearest beach and 10 min walk to nearest supermarket. Car hire a necessity. Hosts very welcoming. Don't forget to take your mosquito repellent though!

What an amazing place

We had a fantastic week in the height of the heatwave. The private pool was amazing with plenty of natural shade around it. The kids (9 & 12) spent hours in the water. There are many areas to hang out and an amazing bbq area. Inside, the property is modern, clean and each room had air con which was great. Claudia sent a number of messages beforehand. Our flight was delayed so we did not arrive until 23:30 but she was great in waiting for us and showing us how everything worked.

Sehr entspannter Urlaub!

In dem liebevoll eingerichteten und etwas abseits gelegenen Ferienhaus konnten wir prima am Pool oder auf einer der Terrassen entspannen. Der grosse wunderschöne und nicht einsehbare Garten und Pool sowie die vielen Sitzgelegenheiten sind ein absolutes Highlight. Sowohl das kleine Städchen Pula und der Strand sind fussläufig in 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Ein grosser Dank an die liebenswerten Vermieter Claudia und Marco! Alles Gute!

Un paradis sur terre

Quel plaisir d’artiver chez Marco après plusieurs heures de route, et de découvrir son jardin verdoyant. Une veritable oasis . De nombreux coins ombrages ou il fait bon lire entre 2 plongeons dans la piscine. La maison est bien equipee. La literie confortable. 2 supermarches sonttres proches et Pula est une petite ville très sympathique . Marco et sonepouse vous accueille d3facon tres charmante.

Casa Gilda, Pula (CA)

Wir waren zu viert Gast bei Marco in der „Casa Gilda“. Es war schlicht und ergreifend alles Perfekt! Haus: Das Haus ist für 4 Leute ausreichend groß und ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht um einen Erholsamen Urlaub zu verbringen (inkl. Waschmaschine & Spülmaschine). Anlage: Die Terrasse und der angrenzende Garten mit privatem Pool sind gigantisch. Der Garten ist dermaßen groß, dass man nie alles nutzen wird, bietet aber durch die Bäume und Sträucher ein sehr angenehmes Klima selbst an heißen Tagen. Der Pool ist sauber und ausreichend groß. Lage: das Haus ist nah am Strand „Nora“ sowie nur ca. 20 min Autofahrt von „Chia“ entfernt. Die Läden sowie die Innenstadt von Pula sind in Laufdistanz zum Haus. Kurzum: wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, werden sicherlich wieder kommen und können das Haus zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Nicht zuletzt auch wegen der tollen Gastfreundschaft von Marco und seiner Frau.

Stunning

This is a stunning property well-maintained at exceptional standards. The garden is a piece of beauty and the swimming pool is just perfect. The landlord is exceptionally welcoming (we arrived in the evening and we found sweets, food in the fridge, water, beer, wine and any essentials that the landlord provisioned to us. Throughout the stay we had any support needed. The property is in a quite residential area very private but close enough to the center of the village (10 min by walk). So it was perfect for us as we were looking for exclusive and noise-free accommodation, but also close to any facility of the little town. We will surely come back to this little paradise. Many thanks to Claudia and Marco, it has been an amazing holiday!

ein Traum

Vom ersten Augenblick an haben wir uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Claudia und Marco, die Vermieter, sind sehr zuvorkommend und haben uns wirklich gut Tipps gegeben. Sandra eine Bekannte von den beiden hat für uns ein typisch sardisches Abendmenü für uns im Haus gekocht. Unglaublich gut. Sie ist wirklich eine begnadete Köchin. Und der Checkout.... Marco hat uns mit einer Tour durch Cagliari noch einen wundervollen Tag bereitet. Wir möchten uns ganz herzlich für die Gastfreundschaft bedanken. Schon jetzt freuen wir uns auf ein Wiedersehen. Heaven on Earth

We have just completed six glorious nights at this very special property. The garden and pool are truly magical - my Mum, over from New Zealand, said she felt like the Queen. Fantastic hosts, fantastic property in a fantastic location (family friendly beach with restaurant 5 min drive, brilliant modern large supermarket 3 min drive in other direction). Only minor catch is to be prepared for a few mosquitos given the type of property - but closing the windows around dusk and using appropriate repellent kept them in order sufficiently. We enjoyed the property so much we hardly left so can’t comment on Pula and other nearby towns, although these come highly rated as well. Thanks so much for for a very special week that we will talk about for a long time, Marco and Claudia!

We would like to thank Claudia and Marco for the warm welcome and their availability when ever necessary. The house was exactly as shown on the pictures, cosy, clean and well equipped. It is right in the middle between the village and the beach. The pool and the nice garden made it easy to relax and to enjoy our stay even more.

Sehr schönes Haus, gepflegter Garten, laute Umgebung

Das gesamte Anwesen ist sehr geschmackvoll, gepflegt und prima ausgestattet. Die vielen Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien und den Pool fanden wir sehr ansprechend. Der Haushalt ist super ausgestattet und eine Schale mit frischem Obst und sardischem Gebäck versüßten uns die Ankunft. Das Haus ist gut zu erreichen und bietet eine gute Ausgangslage für Unternehmungen und Strandbesuche mit dem Auto. Alles in allem wäre es das perfekte Urlaubsdomizil, wenn nicht die Umgebung des Hauses unangenehm gestört hätte. Immer spät abends und über die ganze Nacht, hat ein Hund, aus dem in der Nachbarschaft befindlichen Schweinestall, die ganze Zeit laut gebellt und gejault. Aber auch tagsüber war es während unseres Aufenthaltes schwierig ungestörte Ruhe zu finden. An einem Tag hatten wir über Stunden anhaltender Lärm durch Gartensensen und Mäharbeiten auf dem angrenzenden Nachbargrundstück, mittwochs war der Gärtner den ganzen Tag in unserem Garten anwesend, dazu kam manchmal laute Musik aus der Nachbarschaft in der Mittagszeit. Besonders durch den fehlenden Schlaf hatte dieser Aufenthalt nicht den erhofften Erholungswert. Die frühzeitig informierten Besitzer ließen uns die Kopie eines Schreibens an die örtliche Polizei und die Verwaltung zukommen. Geändert hat sich aber während unseres Urlaubes nichts. Mit den warmen Worten des Bedauerns und der Erklärung, es sei schwierig mit dem Hundebesitzer zu sprechen, wurden wir verabschiedet. Es gab keine Mietminderung oder einen andere Form der Entschuldigung. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass das Haus alles hält, was die Beschreibung verspricht, aber Ruhe fanden wir leider nicht.
