"This is a nice property that's had love and care poured into restoring it. The property is however over-marketed (and over-priced) in our opinion. Expedia market as a 'cottage' and the pin shows a central Woolacombe location. Its actually in a holiday/residential park above Woolacombe. The park its in has a run down feel to it and the first impression was of deep disappointment. Once you've moved in then its a lovely property on the inside. "This hotel is in a fantastic location with beautiful walks along the shore. The hotel is clean, sophisticated and comfortable. The staff were almost all very friendly, kind and helpful. The food was very nice - excellent breakfasts especially. The only downsides are that the pool is freezing. Also information on the room specification was misleading ‘shower/bathtub combination’ logically made me think we would have a bathtub with a shower over the top. As a part of an expensive seaview room, I really wanted a bath and the information given made me believe this is what we would have instead of the shower which I found in our room. Otherwise I would not have booked that room. I was told on arrival by the hotel manager that I should have made a special request for this before arriving (which made it seem like this was my fault). She told me that there was nothing she could do about it because they were fully booked and that next time, I needed to request this to avoid being disappointed. No other attempts to make up for this or to at least accept that the information given had been misleading were made. The rest of the kind and welcoming staff and our stay there made up for this rude and unkind interaction and we had a nice time but this did taint the trip for us and better customer service could have avoided us feeling disappointed and told off."

"The granary is tucked away behind one of the main roads through Georgeham. There is a free car park however due to lack of lines parking spaces are scarce so had to park on the road a couple of times, which was easy enough, the village is very quiet. The path to the property was well lit, and it is tucked away in a corner of the property at the front, it really feels like its own space though, like a secret hideaway, you never feel like it’s someone’s back yard. The property had everything you would need and a lovely gesture was some fresh bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee for refreshments after the journey there. There was a guide for how to use everything in the property and Nik was on hand to help with anything if you had an issue. The absolute highlight of our stay was the use of the pool and hot-tub. I think it is communal but we didn’t see anyone else during our stay, the first weekend of September, it felt like we were somewhere abroad on a gorgeous sunny Sunday afternoon, lounging around on the lovely outdoor sofas. With the 2 brilliant local pubs in walking distance and the lovely village shop practically on the doorstep there really was everything you could wish for in this home."

"This was our second stay at rafters, we absolutely love it here. The location is private and secure with calming views of the rural location. The property itself is well equipped and comfortable. We enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub after a day of exploring the stunning north Devon coastal area. The local pub and ship are convenient and draft are always helpful and friendly."
