"Philippe was incredibly helpful on arrival and the house was just as described with everything you could possibly need. We particularly enjoyed the balconies. The village has a fantastic selection of bars and restaurants - we sampled many of them and we found every meal to be excellent. The coastline is beautiful and we wish that we’d had more time to explore. We hope to return again soon to see more."

La porte principale ne ferme plus il faut la fermer à clef"

"The gite was a beautiful historic building that has been modernized inside with all the comforts one could ask for. Our hosts were warm and welcoming… even their dog! The gardens were an absolute delight. I highly recommend visiting if you love the countryside."

"Le logement est charmant et les pieces sont spacieuses. Il est très bien placé et facile pour se garer. La proprietaire est disponible et très sympathique. Ainsi que sa voisine avec qui j'ai échangé les clefs. En revanche, je déconseille avec des petits en bas âges car il y a beaucoup d'escaliers et les sanitaires se trouvent au rez de chaussé alors que les chambres sont au second (ou 1er pour le canapé convertible). Idéal pour groupe d'amis ou famille avec enfants autonomes."

"Lovely little fisherman’s hut in great location. Cafe on site great for food like pizzas and chips. Pool is amazing and slides are awesome. Kids loved them and wanted to stay longer. We hired bikes and scooters and toured a bit more locally and tried a local restaurant. Very nice. Promenade good too for a walk. Beach about 1km walk over the other side of the island. We would love to stay again next time we are passing through on our European travels. Roland is a great host and understood us...

"We spent a very long weekend (5 nights) in Port Vendres. The property has all necessary facilities, however it is quite tired and would benefit from a deep clean and re-decoration. Also, it is a pitty there is no view of the sea from the house, however a few seconds walk and the stunning views across to the jetty are all exposed. The house benefits from being a little out of the way with no passing traffic (pedestrian or car) hence very tranquil. The house is well placed for many stunning walks...

"Wir haben einen sehr schönen Urlaub bei Jean Louis verbracht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gelegen. Alles sehr zentral (Bus, Einkauf,Strand). Auf das Auto kann man durchaus verzichten, aber nur, wenn man einen reinen Badstrandurlaub verbringen möchte. Wunderschöne Nachbarorte sind schnell mit dem Auto erreichbar. Rundum ein gelungener Urlaub, bei einem sehr netten Vermieter, netten Menschen und in einem wundervollen Urlaubsland. Anke & Matthias"

"From booking to arriving, the owners were super helpful, giving us loads of information before we arrived, and answering all of our questions. The property itself was perfect for us, we were 5 in total, ages ranging from 75 to 13! Plenty of space both indoors and out and everything we could think of was provided! The local shop was a real gem as well and literally around the corner. Would absolutely recommend this property"

"We stayed for a month and really enjoyed the place. The house is a traditional French family home in a convenient village location. The house is well maintained and very well organised. Everything works. There is no airconditioning but the window shutters are mostly effective in keeping the house reasonably cool and well ventilated. (The exception was for a few days when we experienced a heatwave … with temperatures outside if 38-40C its probably not surprising that it was pretty uncomfortable...

"13 of us stayed - 11 to 70. We loved it. Pictures don't do it justice. Bigger than we expected. Well equipped with new big gas BBQ. They need to get someone to take some newer pro pics to really show it off. Wifi was fast and very good - best I've experienced in France. 4G strong reception on phones. TV new and massive and tech perfect for kids but they mainly spent time outside in the pool and garden. There was plenty kitchen kit. 2 fridges and a separate freezer. It's about 5 mins in a car...
