Helpful staff and our room was clean and bright, catching the morning sun and overlooking the pool. Nice restaurant virtually on the beach. Great location. The reef is pretty shallow here, but nice snorkeling on high tide. Busstop outside the Resort.

Receptionist Grace welcoming and very helpful. Loved the sunset, enjoyed walking along the beach. Very comfortable bed, having breakfast provided was a bonus. The meal we had at the restaurant was delicious.

Rooms are comfy and clean, aircon and fan, very friendly & helpful staff, Breakfast is adequate, muesli, banana, juice, milk, bread, butter jam in your room, ask to top up, No Espresso at Castaway. Beluga Cafe - best mocha & breakfast 5 min walk, ask at reception for directions. Bus stop outside - handy on the 37 mins to the hour- Good restaurant &bar&pool. Enjoyed our stay

Restaurant on site was great as was the bar…pool area was smaller than expected. Our room (15) backed on to the kitchen extractor fan so was a bit noisy when the fan was going when they were cooking. Loved the continental breakfast included where we could cook our own toast or have cereal. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Castaway Resort, comfy bed and the in room breakfast of cereal and toast was perfect for us. Venue is a bit dated but cute. We liked the small number of guests and the adult only aspect. Beautiful sunsets on the beach and the restaurant and bar was great too. Would happily stay again

We really enjoyed staying at Castaway. From our arrival the checkin process is relaxed and simple. The room was clean and tidy, the bed in our room was massive and comfy. The shower was great with good pressure. Grace at reception was excellent and is an assett to Castaway. Castaway is in a good location and is smaller than some other resorts, which made it quieter and relaxed. Arorangi has bells rung at 5am(!!) On weds/fri/sun for church, which was a shock the first time but doesn’t last long and is NOT a tsunami warning!

Poor parking area. Admonished by neighbour for leaving my car outside his wall on r oadside. Park Castaway van elsewhere takes up too much room. Breakfast poor. Dry cereal provided with no yoghourt or fruit to put on it. A very basic breakfast. Who eats white bread, not me. Staff really good and obliging. Decent show plus music most nights at beach front. Good food from restaurant and prices reasonable.
