Hotel was very conveniently located for my purposes and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. I only had drinks at the bar and breakfast but everything was very good. Only disappointment was my shower, as it was a multi head shower but the ‘rainfall’ standard overhead part didn’t work so I had to use the handheld head

A Cornish Gem in the heart of the county. Friendly and helpful staff. A generously varied food and drinks menu in a quirky and unique hotel. Out stay was relaxing, peaceful and we will be returning soon.

Exellent hotel, first class exemplary service.
Penventon Hotel is excellent in every way in my opinion. Staff offer exemplary service. Breakast and restaurant of the highest order. Quality food, beautifully presented, cooked to order. Spa facilities very good. Free parking. Rooms fastidiously cleaned and maintained. No negatives from my point of view.

Great hotel with the friendliest staff
The staff are extremely friendly and can’t help you enough. Anytime you need anything they will help. When you’re on business doing lots of hours it is so good to know they’re there if you need them.

Nice medium sized hotel. Friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner also very good. Room comfortable although lots of bathroom related noises at various times and poor shower (Luke warm at best). Competitive prices

We had a very nice stay. The staff were excellent and very friendly (something that Falmouth hotels could learn from!?). The spa was nice, drinks were offered by the pool by the friendly attendant. It was my wife’s birthday and she had a complimentary glass of Prosecco! The bar area was our favourite. Lots of choices for beers, wines and spirits and fun with the bar staff. We would stay here again.

Avoid the single rooms
Its a great hotel and have stayed a few times before. This time i booked a single room and its like staying in a broom cupboard. Avoid the single rooms and you will have a great stay.

I cannot praise the hotel and staff highly enough. We had a wonderful 3 day break at the Penventon and would definitely come back and stay again. All the staff are so friendly and helpful we were made to feel very special and nothing was too much trouble. The decor in the reception, bar and lounge is quite stunning. We enjoyed the use of the spa and restaurant. 10/10 highly recommend!

Fabulous hotel!
We had a lovely stay here for a couple of nights with our dog and it was perfect! We were given a warm welcome and shown to our room which had patio doors onto the garden. They’re definitely set up for dogs and our room was equipped with treats, blanket, towel and water bowl plus ample tea, coffee, biscuits and water for humans. The room had good lighting, plenty of mirrors and a full length mirror (not always a given in hotel rooms), plus a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. We ate at the Penventon on two evenings. There was a good atmosphere in the restaurant, a special area for eating with furry family members and the food and service were excellent on both occasions. We absolutely hope to come back and spend more time exploring Cornwall from here!

As always a wonderful stay. We have been coming to the Penventon Hotel a couple of times a year and have done since 2010 and we’ve never been disappointed. We can’t recommend this Hotel highly enough.

The staff are extremely friendly. However, on certain areas can be more details. For example, when cleaning the room, some amenities can be missed and have to be asked for. Restaurant food was very nice but again, when asked for additional condiment, several time have to asked twice before it was given. Overall, the hotel is very nice and pleasant to stay

Front of house and restaurant are great. Food and drinks are pricey. Not a lot of choice for a vegetarian. Lots of cocktails but beer selection is a bit boring. Out hotel room was not good. Had to request a tv remote, clean glasses, water and a clean fan. When we took the dust covered fan to reception there was no apologies. We understand things aren’t going to be spotless so we gave up complaining as it was getting embarrassing. Dogs are allowed at the hotel but: - only 3 tables in a busy walk way (to the spa, toilet, hotel rooms) where you can sit and eat dinner/breakfast - no dog bed, bowls or treats in the room - no guides of what you can do in the area with a dog

Fabulous hotel, spa, food and service
We enjoyed every moment from arrival to departure (which sadly came too soon), there was a magnificent floral display at the front entrance and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We made good use of the restaurant and the spa facilities, we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and it would be our first choice if returning to Cornwall.

Dog friendly room
The staff were friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a dog friendly room, the room could do with updating, very old fashioned. The hotel and room were clean, and it is a very dog friendly hotel. The dogs have their own food menu, which is perfect to spoil the pooches! The location of the hotel is a little remote, the town of Redruth doesn’t have much going on. It was a great location for us to be able to travel to See ives, Penzance and Lands End.

I was in room 2 and the fire exit was propped open until quite late which I don't think is legal. Also there were noisy fans directly outside the window so I had to keep it closed and it was very warm. Other than that, really nice stay.
